Wiki Model S Delivery Update

My page still says "Your Tesla order has been confirmed and scheduled for production in our factory" even through i ordered back on 1/13 (confirmed 1/16, VIN 2/13).

I'm sure if i contact my DS, she'll give me specifics about where it's at in terms of production schedule, but i'll probably just lay low until the website updates.

If i get it before the second half of March, that will be ahead of the estimated delivery window of "late March".

I ordered 1/16, confirmed 1/19, received VIN 2/8. No updates since then.
My previous car was totaled a few months ago. I am without a car until my Model S arrives. Luckily I can work from home as much as needed.
A month ago delivery specialist told me to expect late March.
No email response from delivery specialist nor the guy at the showroom that sold me the car (I emailed them both 2 weeks ago).
I was feeling left out as I'm seeing orders made after mine that seem to be moving faster.
Then I checked the official Telsa forums. There are several orders made 2-3 weeks before mine that are still waiting for updates and haven't even received a VIN in some cases.
Maybe my wait hasn't been too bad just yet.
But it sure would be nice to get an update or see some progress!

Congrats to all those seeing progress on their order! I am managing my jealousy for now. :)

What does it say under your "My Tesla" account? Most of my updates came from that, I rarely got any communication from my ds as well...

Dang, I get updates whenever I post in here about updates - makes me wonder if my DS is spying on my forum activity :)

Just got this minutes after my post in here:
"I also have some good news – your Tesla was selected to be pulled up and should be complete closer to mid-March!"

Thanks for the kind words. Actually you will not only need imagination as I aim to post and share videos re my Tesla experience on a Youtube channel I just initiated (see link in my profile but no videos posted yet). Hopefully some go pro and drone footage and some feedback on my MS with beautiful Swiss scenery in background as well as reactions to Tesla news. Please feel free to already suscribe on Youtube in anticipation. The more suscribers, the more (useful) pressure I will have to put nice content out there.
link to your youtube channel? I definitely want to see nice pics near Alps

Just got an update from my DS, the production date is about 3 weeks after order, but it will take 2/3 weeks to ship and deliver? Can they just do a Fedex overnight?

2/12 placed order
2/16 got vin
As of now we have your Model S scheduled to start production the week of 3/12. This a tentative date and may fluctuate. Assuming production completes this week there will be a transport from the Tesla factory in Fremont to the Dallas service center which could take 2/3 weeks. These 2/3 weeks include transport from The Factory to Dallas as well as the Texas state inspection, validating your vehicle to be driven on Texas roads and also detailing your vehicle for delivery

No official word that my car has entered production yet, but the DS said it will start Friday as planned.

With that Electrek is now reporting a surge in S and X sales and that people should plan for a 4 to 5 month wait to get there car if they ordered today. I'm surprised no one started a thread on this topic yet.

Tesla extends delay on new Model S and Model X orders, says high demand is creating a backlog

Like me people probably waited the two years to sit in a Model 3 they reserved, and chose an upgrade to an S or X and not keep waiting for the car they way they want to option it, creating the surge.

"Ordered midnight silver 75D on 1/17, confirmed 1/20, VIN 1/25. Expecting late March delivery in Atlanta"
Received today from DA: Your Model S is currently under production and is being built as we speak! We could schedule your delivery for as early as Tuesday, March 20th"
The website is still showing "order has been confirmed and scheduled for production in our factory"

You and I will very likely cross paths in Decatur. Is Frank Tesfaye your DS in Decatur?
I ordered on 01/15, confirmed on 01/18. I got my in production notice on my account page yesterday. I will predict that your car will be in production today or tomorrow. I was originally told late March for delivery, but several people ahead of us reported delivery earlier than expected. I think our deliveries might be mid-March in Decatur. Better get your wall outlet installed!

Just spoke to my DA, he said yes on Electrek article but this is for new orders only. Everthing we were told when we ordered is still valid. Again this is if you order a new car today.

He said I will enter production Friday and summarized my dates as follows.

Ordered 1/31
Confirmed 2/3
Vin Assigned 2/6
Production begins Friday 2/23
Production complete 2/28
Choo Choo ride 3-4 weeks
Delivery Friday 3-23 10AM

Note: if car goes by Truck in lieu of train I will receive the car 2 weeks earlier. I wonder if that is what happened to some of you.

Seams too easy from what I had read over the years here on line and other peoples delivery. Maybe I got a very good DA. Every thing has stayed constant, no surprises or changes. Web page has not changed but i really haven't entered production yet so should it?

Looks like we may take delivery on the same day. My DS said production is tentatively scheduled to start on 3/12.

Ordered 1/31 to beat the previously advertised end to free supercharging, then when the new terms came out I was able to cancel that order and re-order on 2/1. Vin was sent on 2/5 and estimated delivery was end of March. I just heard last week that pickup day from local Service Center is now March 13!
