Wow. Configurations!
You will soon be tortured to decide which one to drive every day. However, it comes with happiness.

DMack, Looks like Northern California MS buyers are getting closer in the production queue for first quarter deliveries. My DA in Rocklin proactively sent me an email and said my car should enter full production on March 11 and be delivered between March 15 and 20. You have selected a magnificent first new car! Counting the days for both of us...

I am in full anticipation mode now since tomorrow is the day my delivery advisor said my car should go into production. My status still indicates scheduled for production - looking forward to it changing to in production. I have read everything I can about the car, already purchased accessories, watched all the videos, and have tracked status diligently since I placed the order on January 12. I hope the other Northern CA buyers are getting close to delivery, as well. This is so awesome!

Mine went into production a couple of days ago, and i have delivery scheduled for next Sunday.

I’m also having my 240V receptacle installed on Thursday, so everything seems to be lining up just fine :)

Congrats! I have my soft delivery date of March 17, but still not in production.

My car status is finally showing up "In Production". It was supposed to be in by next weekend, so very nice surprise. Delivery appt is set up for Mar 24, so will they move it up if it's done a week early?

You should check with your DS. When i contacted mine, she mentioned that their schedule for vehicle deliveries was jam
packed, so maybe their calendar is full until the 24th.

I’ve asked my DS for a March 24 delivery date as my car is supposed to arrive around the 19th. Waiting to hear back but that was my concern as they are not being proactive about setting up a delivery date for me. :(

This sounds really inefficient to me. If people are available, they should be able to pick up the car as soon it's ready. The DS already told me they dont keep cars there for more than a week so this is also kind of contradictory.

Tesla Delivery takes a bit longer than McDonalds pick-up. The Delivery Specialist gives a thorough briefing on the car. A lot to learn, unless you've owned a Tesla before.

Took delivery of my wife's S100D in Chicago with a friend who would co-drive with me to Philadelphia the next day. Inspection and briefing took about two hours. I was nearly at square one, only experience was our old Honda Civic Hybrid. My friend had nearly as much to learn, though his wife drives a Prius and he has a Volt.

Suspect that is part of the delivery bottleneck, aggravated by shipment waves to different geographic areas. Delivery Specialists probably work overtime the handful of end-of-quarter weeks when their region's wave hits, with moderate workload the remainder.

My 75D went into production Tuesday March 6 (at least that's the first day the website showed production status... as we all know, it's unclear whether the website status is up to date or lags).

I checked the website Saturday and the status had updated sometime in the morning to "Your Tesla has been built and is in transit from the factory. Learn about your Tesla. View walkthrough videos."

Then I noticed an form email from DS on Friday night letting me know "Your vehicle has completed production."

I'm guessing transit from Fremont to Utah shouldn't take more than a few days. It could already be here!

No delivery appt yet.

The email from DS said "Please reply to this email to request best days/times to pick up your new Tesla and if you would like to opt in for an “express delivery”.

Has anyone done "express delivery" vs a "normal" delivery?

My understanding is that express delivery just means they don't spend a half hour showing you how to operate the vehicle.

I've watched the videos (although why do some have sound and most don't?) and I've read the manual. Any reason why I shouldn't request "express delivery?"

So I have a pick up scheduled for Thursday! So excited. Now if only BMW's lease department could work a little faster. Turning it in a little early and there are so many hoops to jump through. Most likely will delay my Tesla pickup until Saturday because of it. Oh well I wish Tesla had given me more time to schedule this. Oh well it will all work out, but probably not on my timeline.
