My DS just scheduled a delivery date of 8/9/2016 - 6 days to go!

Ordered: 7/2/16
Confirmed: 7/9/16
Vin date: 7/9/16
Production Start: 7/28/16
Production End: 8/2/16
In Transit: 8/4/16
Scheduled Delivery: 8/9/16
I'm jealous! My car also started production on 7/28 and it is still "in production". My DS told me yesterday that my car had finished production, but it is held up in the QA review process... I'm annoyed that something went wrong that my car has been held up for days at the inspection process before leaving the factory...

Better now than later.

Agree w/ @jelloslug that better they find issues now then you find them after it's delivered. But I ordered before both of you and I'm still not in production... not sure what would be worse though.

The MyTesla page still says that my car is "in production". It must have had some issue that it is taking so long when almost every other car takes 3 days. However, the delivery window now shows August 23, 2016 - September 6, 2016. That's too late. That is going to be an issue. I am not too happy right now about how long this is taking.
I am right there with you and I ordered 6/24th! :)

Your Tesla has been built and is in transit from the factory. Your estimated delivery window is August 22, 2016 - September 5, 2016
I am hoping for earlier , we'll see.

My DS just called and my car came in today. He and I just moved my appointment up one day to tomorrow afternoon. What a pleasant surprise. I felt I waited in the production queue longer than the average reported by others but in the end, the fast delivery to Texas made up for it. If everything works out tomorrow, it would be exactly 1 month from confirmation to delivery. I also checked MyTesla online and my status got updated to,

"Your Model S is undergoing final inspection, detail, and charging in preparation for delivery. To prepare you for the delivery of your vehicle, walk through videos are available to view. If you have questions, please contact your delivery specialist."

Pretty exciting. Hopefully everything goes well tomorrow. Good luck to everyone else in the queue!

Also note that if you are financing through Alliant and you want them to cover more than the cost of the car (such as tax/fees) then make sure that your credit score is 740 or above. Otherwise, they will ask you to provide an updated MVPA. I was 1 point shy of 740 and had to ask my DS to update the MVPA to reflect the changes.

I don't think an updated MVPA is that big of a deal. I talked to my loan specialist this morning to finalize things and asked about gap insurance, and he said that it's only available for loans up to $100k. (I was applying for just under $106k.) I shot a note over to my DS, who put together the updated MVPA a couple of hours later, and all is well.

Also, if you want gap insurance, keep the 100k limit in mind. :D

Lucky duck Texan!

While mine is on the snail rail in the middle of California somewhere taking 2 weeks to get here.

The inconsistencies in how they ship are just annoying and I get they are "getting it down" but man it is annoying.

I like to pay for a car after I have taken a test-drive in that car. You can always pay on the day of delivery.
Yeah, not planning to pay until day of pickup if all goes well.

Around the time I ordered, the OA warned me that if I waited for another week, I might get bumped back to late August/September pickup. I didn't quite listen to what he gave as the reason, but I didn't need prompting to order then. In fact, my own design got bumped to late August/Sept before the OA intervened and the MyTesla estimate became Late July/August again, once I ordered. It sounds like they had a previously defined production plan in place switching between geographies, causing such a delay.

Ordered 7/1
Confirmed 7/8
Just was told be DS that my car will go into production next week.
Delivery to DC Area

60D | Deep Blue | Pano | Black Next Gen | Carbon Fiber | AP | PUP | UHFS | SZ

That sounds about right... I ordered a few days before you and my DS indicated this week was the window for mine, but worst case would be early next week. I'm still not in production, but hoping for tomorrow... otherwise makes the delivery difficult for me :(

Panda delivered today. Confirmed 27 June. I love it when a plan comes together. :)

So if you are 740+ they will let u finance full price of car plus tax right off the bat?

Nice. Is that a solid white or pearl white? I can't really tell from the pictures. In either case, it looks awesome :D

Yup. If you are over 740, you can basically finance the full amount including tax. This might also depend on the ceiling that could be set based on other factors I'm sure but they were willing to cover everything (I was only going to pay $5000). This was brought to my attention when my loan went through underwriting.

I completely agree. I was told it'll be delivered by train and I figured that's good - it'll be fast. Then my DS reset my expectation regarding the snail rail. I have to wait for 3 1/2 weeks after production completes. Painful!

Fantastic. Thanks. At these low rates might as well keep my cash invested ;)

@Austral and @stormos looks like we have similar taste in the pearl white. This will primarily be my wife's car (I'll one day buy a red P90D for me when my money tree bears fruit) but she loves the 21" grey look so I've already located someone selling 21" grey rims to upgrade ;)
