Has anyone even utter the words 2.0 hardware or retrofitablity to their DS?

I did. DS denied knowing anything about it, but said she heard the rumors. The more technical guy who came out to replace a small panel on the side of the pano (I found a tiny imperfection, so they just replaced the whole piece) said he thinks it'll likely not be possible to retrofit me in the future.

View media item 115954P90D delivered today at North Houston. They replaced the battery controller, enabled the ventilated seats and added in spacers on the seats before I could pick it up. Only thing on due bill is one piece of chrome somewhat out of alignment. Sweet! Only real issue is that no one knows how to adjust the auto headrest on the premium seats (for those in the know....help!).

Congrats on the car! (Can't see the picture for some reason)

If those seats are the same as the Model X, I believe they "auto raise" as you recline the seat. I'm not sure you can actually manually adjust the headrest. So how are the seats?? I am supposedly getting them too.

I like them better than the next gen. Seem more supportive. Feel great. Look great. Somehow made the album private and can't figure out how to make it or the pictures public. Sorry!

Sounds like you guys have had good things to say about your ordering experience from owner advisor to deliver specialists. Mine have been a completely different experience. I never get a reply from any of my emails I've sent 4 separate emails asking questions. Car is done production now and my DS has still not reached out or replied to any of my questions from 3 weeks ago. I emailed asking for an update once a week and get nothing. I had to drive down to the dealership before my lock in date because they are so bad at getting back to their customers. As much as I love this brand and the product the service has been atrocious...a completely different experience from any of my other vehicle purchases. Not sure if this stems from them not being commissioned or what.

Same here my friend. My DS is on a nice little vacation without notice to me and I've not been notified at all for changes of production to transit. All I can suggest is call the delivery location and chew them out. It wasn't until I went to the sales dept and let them know that they are dropping the ball that I got answers to my questions.

Just an update in case anyone gets a scary estimated delivery date - MyTesla just updated for me with an estimated delivery date more in line with expectations - Late November - December (was March - Early April 2017!). I now has a VIN and I got an email about the VIN assignment a few minutes later. Spreadsheet updated!

I've got about the same confirmation date and delivery window as you, and we're both in Texas. I'm trying to limit myself to 3 refreshes of my Tesla page a day :)

Did you enter your information into the spreadsheet? Model S Order & Delivery 2016

My Tesla is now "In Transit" with an estimated delivery date between Sept 15 and Sept 22. What's the status of yours? Is it close?

Hi all. New member here. 75D in queue for production. VIN 159xxx. Spreadsheet updated. My DS said it would go into production mid-Sept and take 1 to 2 weeks. Estimated delivery late Sept or early Oct in Fremont, CA.

Quick update. My car just went into production this afternoon, per the website. I know that since I had obsessively checked all day. Let's see how fast it goes through. DS said I was still on track for end of month delivery.

Picked up yesterday at noon and walked away with no complaints at the time. Having already paid, it was a quick walkthrough and we were out of there. The only issue I've since spotted is the front passenger door interior trim is not seated properly on the door, so when it's shut from the inside, it makes a sharp plastic sound. Not super concerned so I'll make sure to give them a call on Monday. Otherwise, this car completely blew my mind (and still is). I had never been in a Tesla before yesterday, which I think made it all the more amazing.

The delivery specialist remarked that I was by-far the youngest he'd seen taken delivery in all his hundreds of appointments...ha.

My friend/coworker came with and snagged a few photos.
