Got my car delivered last night at about 11:15pm!!! Here's a few crappy iPhone 5 pictures I took last night. Knew I should have brought my 5D Mark III with me! No CF spoiler, parcel shelf, or trunk floor cover (I thought that was included?) with the car. Didn't think to check last night, but I'm assuming I'll get those later. Big thanks to Mike and the driver who delivered it so late!

das my car!!!

congrats Logan... do follow up on how you like it in a couple days...

OK, I'll try to find a window tomorrow to update my experience. But for now, here are a couple images:

Vin 3231 arrived yesterday at 8AM! Awesome! My PS called me Friday to tell me my Model S would not be arriving on Monday, January 14th as promised. I was a little bummed but I told her, "it was going to rain Monday anyway". One hour later the carrier called to say he would be at my house by 8AM Sunday! Sneaky, but I loved it! It was an all day family party yesterday. I will post pictures soon!

A black performance Model S was the only car left on the carrier and he was headed from SC to NC to delivery it Sunday too! I did not check the vin since it was on the carrier bed. Sorry, but another reservation holder got a gift yesterday! Who said the 13th was unlucky!

Keep the faith people, this car is unbelievable!

Mark

Hey Colvin,

I just got the 100amp breaker installed yesterday. Nice to have a charge in 4 hours!! I went to our local Nissan dealer, but one unit was broken and an employee was parked in front of the second. Yah, I'm thinking of heading the the Fresh supermarket in Tyler just so I can charge while shopping. I think I reserved mine in Sept 2011. I'm also trying to map out a trip to Houston and found a couple of Blink machines are installed at an Embassey Suites, so I guess I'll be parking there and walking to the Hilton!! ;) This cold weather seems to be killing my mileage too. I only got 240 miles on my charge last night too...I thought it was supposed to be 300 miles. I'll have to look around for comments on the charging to make sure I'm not doing something wrong.

Driving the car has been a blast though! I got the cheaper motor and it still has some major power. I got my Model S up to 114 mph out on I-20 with no problems. My wife said it was scary how smoothly it drove at that speed.

I guess at some point in the future, we'll have to have a rally! My email is [see mod note below] if any other folks in East Texas or North La want to be in contact.

Thanks

Bill

Would someone please take delivery of their model S and post photos soon? I'm experiencing Tesla withdrawal symptoms at present during my long wait and could sorely use a couple nice big photos of a Model S shining in the sunlight. Photos may include owners, spouses, kids, dogs, and other critters, I'm not picky. Heck, go ahead and throw in a photo of a charging cable, if you're so inclined. Many thanks!

OK, I took delivery 8 days ago. First drive in the snow - fish tailed at 16MPH on ice...

But I'm no fool, I'm working from home today...

SURPRISE

I thought my car was still at the factory and wouldn't be delivered for a couple of weeks. I just got a call from the truck driver and was informed that my car would be here in 8 hours!!! WOW!!! How's that for a heads up! Can't wait to get home from work and prep the garage.

It looks black. I hope it's a blue! If it is then that's the color I'm going with

It's blue. It changes depending on the light. There hasn't been enough sun this week to make it look blue often, but I've attached the picture that I deem most blue. I was a little worried about how the blue would look with the black performance interior, but I'm very happy with the effect. I think the grey wheels look good, but I haven't had to drive on any snow yet. I'm going to try to make it through the rest of the "winter" here in Chicago by not driving when there's precipitation and using my yet-to-be-traded-in car when there is.

Wow jbh that is an awesome surprise. Interesting that we are both getting our cars today on separate trucks and we only live 10 miles apart. Yours through Texas and mine through Salt Lake City. My truck made a delivery in Nebraska today to a lucky MS owner.

I have been peeling the onion back in this supply chain and have spoken with Tesla delivery who hired
UPS Logistics who hired
United Road who hired
Pilot Transport who is calling the driver.

Patiently waiting on the driver to call. Pictures to follow.

I'm by no means a logistics specialist, but it would seem to be far more cost effective to have 2 cars delivered over 1500 miles to 2 points within 10 miles of each other on the same truck! Today, I don't care in the slightest...it's coming! But as a shareholder...yikes!
