bummer, it took over 30 mins to get the homelink to work, and spent whole night couldn't get the wifi to work.
I have the router right next to it, set it b/g/n/ mixed mode, it just can't take it, tried the phone hotspot , didn't work either.
Elon, are we still in 21st century?

First off, did you hard reboot the MCU (hold buttons down until the T comes back)?
Service gave me a different sequence to use that seems to have resolved my flaky 3G connection issue. Reboot the IC followed by back-to-back reboots of the MCU.

If that doesn’t work, try making the router as “open” as possible for a few mins so that the car can have the best shot at connecting. That is, don’t hide the SSID, no password, etc.? Then tighten things up as you prove the car can connect.
Good luck. My car must’ve been blessed because Homelink was programmed easily after following the on-screen prompts and it connected to my network w/o fanfare. Even the update to 10.4 seemed to go faster than the estimated 1hr 40mins.

I had the absolutely most painful time getting the car to connect via WiFi as well.
Homelink wasn't that bad.
However the WiFi made me rage quite hard, because i am quite competent with networks, and i have a near enterprise class network setup at the house with 5 x Ubiquiti Access Points to gaurentee i have full bars everywhere on my property, including the toilet.. err the man throne, so i knew the problem wasn't on my end.

What got mine to work is by turning WiFi off, then back on.

But i know the exact problem you are speaking.
I would see the green check meaning i got the PW correct, and then it would take me back to the password prompt saying unable to connect to network.

Lol .I am a tech savvy guy too . My wife was laughing at me that I couldn't set up the simple wifi. I tried to turn off and on wifi, tried to power off the car too, it just keeps popping back the password dialogue .
I googled it, not only me have the same problem .

Got my car.

I think God is punishing me, because i could not push it at all due to the rain.
The car is amazing like others said.
There delivery center was packed with people all picking up cars.

I had the tech confirm twice that i had the new MCU.
The Delivery Specialist had to call the Tech and he confirmed it adamantly.
He said he even watched my car go though the two firmware updates the new MCU went.

The MCU is FAST, maps load up fairly quickly.
I was able to go on the forums with the browser, although i don't think i will use much of it.
I cant wait til the rain stops, so i can push her.

Anyhow i'll take more pics later when the sun is out... but these are all that i could take of her right now.

shes gonna stay with me for a few days, and then she's off to get Xpel Ultimate and Chrome Delete...

Congrats. The Ludicrous mode is SICK! I've been driving a P90D Model X and loving the jet-like speed. Such a rollercoaster to drive, and my kids want it all the time, haha.

Try rebooting the router or resetting the Tesla's infotainment screen. Press both buttons on steering wheel for a few seconds and then try again. Hopefully that does the trick.

Uh-ho you might have a problem when you get your car back and mash the gas. There was a post about this Tesla trick on customers. Now your going to have to upgrade to the new MCU and Ludicrous mode. I think the post was "tesla really screwed us"? post a couple weeks ago.

Get the roller coaster out of your system now before you get your car back. Call Chantilly Auto and tell them to take there time and do it right. :p

I had the same issue with WiFi. I rebooted the car and my Apple airport Extreme router. I even took off Security and slowly added it back. Not sure which one worked but it did eventually work.
I guess the tesla got moved

Definitely tried that. It didn't do anything .I gave up, because I realized that I still can get updates from LTE overnight, not a deal breaker.
I heard that the 100k car only has a G band chip, so not much faster anyway. So sad for tesla

If you want to try one last time, do the combo procedure I outlined above to reboot both the IC as well as the MCU. Remember to keep the buttons pressed until the T appears.

How long is it from VIN to delivery? I had a P100D ready for delivery last week but declined delivery because old MCU and re-ordered on March 16. I received a VIN yesterday.

I feel like my first P100D order I had took much longer to get the VIN.

Over on the Model 3 forum they're talking about how it's 3-7 days from vin to "completed production". I know it's not the same with the Model S, but for something scheduled for a June estimated delivery, a March VIN seems awfully early. Wishful thinking?

Any insight?

Finally got confirmation that production on my car is done - sweet baby Jesus.

The thing has been in production since 3/9, so i don’t know if it’s a food or bad sign that it’s taken so long.

Hoping they can squeeze me in for a delivery this weekend.

it is a CA thing for sure, too many CA orders, Tesla wants to cover more areas for publicity and marketing:D

The Model 3's are built ahead of time. there really aren't any features to pick outside of color and wheels and they can change wheels in a flash. It was there plan from the beginning. It's to improve their production capacity.
