Wiki Model S Delivery Update

I just got an email with a tentative delivery date 5-23

I am excited someone got some news for ETA, your delivery specialist must be following Elon’s method of business. I just don’t see any possible way you could take delivery on the 23rd. The average time to take delivery after production ends is 15-20 days and we are all waiting on production to begin.
Your delivery specialist must have access to more information that most. I’ve asked many times if they get any information and the answer is always “Check your account page” saying that they can only guess and won’t know anything until production begins. Hope it’s next week, but probably not till the 14th. I’m rooting for you though!

I didn’t know what PUP meant, until I looked it up. Looks like it is premium upgrades features. I didn’t get anything else. I got a break of $6k + blue color+cream leather in exchange for 1000 miles.

Can I add PUP on any car .? My Advisor didn’t mention of this upgrade. .
Sounds like a good deal. Better car than original and faster delivery. Win win. Don’t overthink just enjoy

Congratulations.

Can you clarify a couple of things?

1. Were you previously informed that your car had entered and/or finished production, and what were those dates.
2. Were any notifications posted to your owner’s account, or were you first advised via email or phone call.

I suspect the floodgates will start opening for U. S. reservation holders in the next few days.

If the logic shared on this site holds true, delivery from East to West, there should be "deliveries for all"..., in that Santa, kind of, voice.:)

I have seen no changes to my account, except the amount of times I have refreshed the page. I have only reached out to my Delivery Specialists, via email. Let's be clear, this date is only in pencil.

I do know someone here is waiting for a blue MS with white seats, one of those is new on the lot as of yesterday. I did not get around to looking at the VIN, my apologies.

That’s my config, but there’s no way it’s mine because mine hasn’t even entered production yet.

I was driving past the Tesla store and saw the transport truck - my car was right on top. My status is now "Preparing Vehicle for Delivery" and we are confirmed for delivery this Friday!

I was at the tesla center yesterday, They suspect the vehicle is in train transit,Since they weren't able to ping the vehicle,Last know location was bay area near train station,They said if the vehicle is in train ,they won't be able to ping it.

I ordered a MS 75D on 4/29/18. Confirmed on 5/3/18 and saw that I have a VIN# on 5/5/18. Can anyone tell me what that means? Is production around the corner? Or is it common to get a VIN# right after confirmation?

You can email your Delivery Specialist for an estimated delivery date. You can find that on your Tesla account page in the “Manage” section. I assume your delivery will be in Cathedral City, in which case your contact is probable Efraim (good guy, very helpful).

You are correct that the VIN is assigned shorty after confirmation. I’m willing to bet your car will be delivered by the end of June so it will be reflected in the June quarter, but don’t hold me to it. Two of us in the desert ordered in mid March and haven’t been given production start dates.
