anybody know if this holds true...about the Tesla Wall Connector?

I don't think so. I tried to order the enhanced anti-theft system today and it did not show my VIN even though I have one and am picking up my car tomorrow. My only choice was to order it as no VIN assigned or a gift. I also tried the wall connector out of curiosity from your post and it said nothing about my VIN (I stopped before the final step to complete the purchase).
 
what was your config if you don't mind? I am still waiting for mine and it was LR+ with white exterior and black interior with FSD
Exactly the same as yours. RN still listed on my first account page. My 2014 is listed by VIN. I found VIN when I received the email with final balance. Returning to my account on the to do list in the third black box was the VIN with the description of the vehicle. Delivery Raleigh December 4-10. Ordered October 27.

Got it. And I ordered Oct 10...still waiting for VIN :(

ordered my first Tesla Model S on 10/25, got an initial delivery estimate of 12/13-12/31

suddenly got the 3-6 weeks update, then got the VIN soon after (on 11/13)

Just got a text Thursday (11/19) to schedule delivery appointment and the only date available was 12/2

It seems a bit long considering I have my VIN and everything ready. Has anyone ever experienced a delivery date earlier than originally appointed?

my hope is to miraculously get the car before thanksgiving day

Call your SA and ask for an earlier date. As long as the car is there it should not be a problem.
 
I picked up my car today. Ordered 10/25 and delivered 11/21. I was suspicious as to why my car came in faster than others who ordered the same day and was worried that mine may have been a reject from a different buyer. My SA looked up the car and told me it left the factory on 11/17 so I was definitely the first buyer. When I asked him about the rapid time he told me that the faster I complete the docs etc. the better. I had everything completed within minutes. He said that actually bumps me way up the list ahead of others who have not completed everything asked. Not sure if true but it does make sense.
 
I should have given you a bit more detail. I was arriving 4 hours earlier than my appointment due to a friend driving me the 150 miles to the service center where I was to pick up. I called my SA and he gave me a number for the delivery people. I called them and they made it happen.

I filled out the proof of insurance immediately.
 
Well yesterday was the day. I just took delivery of my 2021 MS LR+ and initially found a bunch of smaller cosmetic issues. Then I got home and found that rear trunk is completely misaligned and the front passenger side door doesn’t close properly. It needs to be slammed hard in order for the window to roll up. Very frustrating and disappointing. I hope they take care of it all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if I should’ve just rejected delivery or left (like I did) due to their COVID express delivery I was told to just set up a service appointment. Some pics of some of the issues attached.

i don’t care how express they want to do the delivery. I’m not going to accept delivery until I fully inspect the car. I will tolerate a couple of small issues but definitely not a lot of them and also nothing major. I don’t mind waiting for another car. I’m not going to pay close to 100k for a car and have a bunch of defects
