Hey, y'all, I finally got a VIN. It's a '22 NF459xxx. It's like I was dreaming about someday owning this car for so long, I got numb and now it's actually happening. What a wild ride. Sh*t, I got so many things to get finalized: Loan, insurance, home charger, PPF, wrap, ceramic, tint, Signature wheels, & accessories... Agggh, WTH have I been doing all these many months whilst I was waiting {besides reading 3600+ pgs of TMC}??

Funny story: I was golfing when I got the text and I was in shock. I'll tell you, it really screwed up my concentration! I blame Elon for all those 3 putts I had.😅

Congratulations @neadams99 on the NF VIN!!!!!! :D

After 10 long months I finally took delivery of my car last night, 2 days before my scheduled delivery date.

I was told last week that my car should arrive on Monday and be ready for delivery on Wednesday. Being paranoid of shipping delays I went up to the service center at 5pm Monday to ask in person if the car has indeed arrive. They confirmed it was on the premises. Like any self respecting reservation holder I immediately searched the parking lot for my car and found it in pristine condition on the side of the building. It was about 50% through installing 2021.40.6. I immediately checked Tesla Software Update Release Notes - Latest Tesla Updates and was happy to see that’s the latest version available.

I proceeded to linger for about 15 minutes walking around the car, taking pictures. Just as I had gotten back in my car and was preparing to leave a Tesla employee walked out to check the car. I immediately hopped out of my car and started a quick convo about the car and that I was awaiting delivery on Wednesday but I was hoping to get it sooner, like tomorrow if possible. He said he’d go inside and talk to a deliver specialist with more info.

Ten minutes later he returns and said they were preparing my paper work and I could pick it up tonight. My jaw would have hit the pavement if I wasn’t grinning so widely. An hour later I was driving home with my car.

After waiting 10 months and being delayed 8 months from the expected April delivery, getting it 2 days early was a nice gift.

It was dark by the time I took delivery, but I have a few pictures from before delivery when I was stalking the car.
That’s a plaid! I really wish I can afford the plaid. LR is still awesome 😎

Picked up my Plaid 10days ago, moved up from a 2016 Model S. I agree build quality is much improved. Its also so much quieter inside thanks to the improved glass and that build quality. Damn this thing is fast. Only 1 issue at pick up which was the missing floor trunk cover. I am still stuck on 2021.31.103 which surprised me and I damn well hope a s/w update comes soon. One question for other new owners - where is Valet mode in the car ? I can see it on the app but can't find it on any screen in the car.

They had my car for 5 days, sitting out in the sun, dirty, in the parking lot, and solved 0 issues. To make the matters worse, they left the doors unlocked. The car literally didn’t move from the parking spot since I dropped it off. They were asking for another day until 5pm tomorrow and I told them to just give me the car back if they’re not going to do any work. I can’t continue to use “Uber Credits” to get to work and back, and I highly don’t appreciate my car baking outside in the sun for days with doors unlocked while they do 0 work on it. On top of that with Thanksgiving, I’m sure they would get nothing done for another several days. How can someone come up with excuses for this? Not even a “parts were ordered and we’re waiting for them to come in.” They legit did not do anything at all for 5 days.
Just a quick heads up. If you complain and thus let them know you are monitoring your car they will turn off access while they have the car next time to prevent you from having any insight as to what is going on.

Also, for a fellow S. Floridian, my P85D went in for an L upgrade and the pack did not pass the battery vacuum test. The result was three months sitting outside in the S. FL sun. When I got it back, the adhesive around my driver's display was starting to show all the way around the periphery. It's a bit of a shame that we have to put up with kids playing at business but there you have it.

To add to the list, rear view mirror doesn’t dim. Driver dome light doesn’t turn off with a press (but does turn on 🤔), have to toggle it through the menu to turn off. Rear driver side door handle doesn’t come all the way out so the light shines inside the door panel instead of the ground. All handles make a humming noise after extending.
I have couple of the same issues like yours... one of the dome light can't be turnned off mechanically but from console it can be. rear passenger door handle handle doesn't come out fully so the door handle light does't lit fully. I think that humming noise is normal, thats what the service man said...other than that couple of minor issues - pic added. Scheduled a service this Fri.. they are going to replace the light & switch & fix others
