Would love to know this as well. My communication with anyone at Tesla for 7 months has been limited to the chat bot on their webpage. Nice people, but they only tell you what we already know. Not really useful at all. Honestly, I get more information from this board then they give. I’d love to talk to someone locally on the phone live to pick their brain.

Anyone know how to get a hold of your local SC or delivery specialist? Tesla doesn’t publish numbers anymore for their SCs.

How do you like my car?
Haha! Well it's already a bit of a headache... PPF appointment has to be pushed out because a few paint defects that I want fixed first. Service appointment for Saturday. Plus I got Summer tires.
do you like the screen tilt?
my February delivery Plaid has the old headlights, and obviously no screen tilt ....
I think the screen tilt is awesome. Biggest gripe is that the Driving Options button is hidden squarely behind the lower right corner of the steering yoke, but this would have been an issue regardless of screen tilt.
And new headlights? Heard rumors may go back to old headlight.
Yes new headlights & trunk trim.

Only way I've found to get real answers is to actually walk in.

I spotted an inventory model come up in my city very similar to my spec and texted to see if I could get it assigned to me. They advised that couldn't be done. I then drove an hour to my delivery store and they were able to assign it to me in 5 seconds.

They cannot PPF with summer tires?

Does the screen vibrate at all when full tilt and driving over rough roads? Any squeaks/rattles when tilted?

Ha of course they can, just another thing that needs corrected. Although I had Summer Tires on in Ohio on my 2020 M3P through two winters without issue. But some here are saying they are getting switched to All Seasons so that seems like a good thing to do if Tesla will do it.

Yeah I have some dash rattle, and yes I think it was from behind the screen. I haven't driven enough to be 100% sure, but I will pay closer attention on a drive tonight. I'm trying to limit how many miles I put on it until after PPF, which has to happen after paint correction, what a pain.

I am in a similar climate to you. Have the summer tires - went to A/S - and back to summer. Prefer the summer hands down to the A/S for ride, noise, comfort, handling, etc. Car just felt neutered with A/S. No choice but to use for winter months.

That is what I am afraid of on the screen - introducing more noise or movement. While I would not have used the tilt in the last 34k miles, I think it is a great feature. Just concerned that it will cause more problems.

I guess it’s a “great minds think alike” thing. 😄 Also, MSM, cream and SV 104’s. Unfortunately you got the “vibration“ option that I’m missing. 😬

You know you can access the driving settings page by swiping right from anywhere on the left edge of the screen?

Seems like no matter how carefully I try to exit my S, at some point the black plastic sill trim gets scuffed from my shoe. Even more so on the passenger side. Well, I fixed that problem. Highly recommend.easy, cheap, can easily remove if you ever want to. A “scuff” just wipes right off
I have no idea what your "fix" is here . . . Saran wrap, PPF, or a plastic wrap from a TV dinner?

How about more details such as what this is, where you got it, how much it costs, etc.

Thanks.

Called and spoke directly with "Henry" at Paramus, NJ SC. He looked internally... nothing out there that matches my build to accelerate the process (I knew that already). His best estimate (internally) based upon similar RN #'s was that my car would be build ~second week of July, with a delivery towards end of July. He did confirm that I would receive the mobile charger since my order pre-dated no longer coming as standard. Then I moved into the A/S vs. summer tires fiasco. He really wasn't sure until I get a VIN but he said to expect summer tires on the car with a cost to buy a separate pair of A/S. I told him that is not acceptable on a $100k car that is being delivered in the northeast. Summer tires crack/ fail below 40 degrees and have zero traction in the cold. Why would I buy a daily driver that is useless six months of the year? Why should I have to keep a second set of wheels/ tires? There is actually a paragraph about this in the owners manual although it does not state any specifics about what to expect by default on the car. He remained firm. He did also state that when they "run out" of summer tires, they do occasionally ship with A/S, but it's not the norm. I should expect summer tires, even on my LR model. I asked him to make a note on my account since the car was not built yet. Can the factory just ship my RN # with A/S tires? I'm sure these are slightly less expensive anyway internally. He said he would "do that", but very unconvincing. He said my only other recourse was to cancel my reservation if I felt that strongly about it.

Just figured I'd share my experience here.

Brief update/review of my first (almost) 90 days and 1800 miles with my 2022 Refresh LR S. (for background, Im coming from a 2017 90D)

First, the cons:
- Only one issue thus far: Car isnt consistently shutting down/off when I exit the car. Signs point to an intermittent drivers seat occupancy sensor, but mobile service will diagnose this coming week.
-Despite being promised that my missing trunk privacy cover would be delivered to my home/no ticket needed, I only got one when I opened a ticket.
-Horn button is dumb. (that said, ive used the horn twice 1800 miles)

Pros:
- Acceleration is beyond more than enough. At any speed. I get that its not the plaid, but when you are talking LR acceleration thats on par (or faster) with Ferrari/Lambo/Hellcats? And without hesitation associated with transmissions? And with All wheel drive? Yeah, its sometimes breathtaking. And unlike the prior 90D, the acceleration never drops off. Pulls hard to at least 145mph (fastest Ive gone)
-Interior. Significantly improved materials, quality, etc over the 2017.
-Speed of the MCU. Even better than when I upgraded to MCU2.
-Quietness. Much quieter.
-Suspension.
-Yoke (Yes, after all my whining pre delivery? I like it. A LOT.)

It was so worth the wait from June 2021 when I ordered it. A massive value overall. Everyone else is still catching up to Tesla in the EV space. My opinion? They are at least a couple years behind. Range..acceleration...no "boost" button to get the full HP...no drop off in power once you hit 60 like the Mach E performance GT, because Ford hasnt fully figured out how to manage battery temps at high draw...
Car not consistently shutting off was a faulty drivers seat occupancy sensor. It’s within the inside of seat cushion. Replaced in an hour by mobile service

Such strong hate for summer tires by so many. Baffles me that this is such a Red line for so many.

It is a performance “luxury” sedan equipped with performance tires.

I personally love that mine will come with Pilot sport 4S tires. It is a fantastic tire. I will get some all seasons or a set of winters so I have a proper tire for all conditions when it gets cold. No biggie. Cost is nearly the same as each set of tires just lasts longer.

Do the guys/gals in the Porsche forums complain about summer tires too?

I don't think that it is a hate of summer tires but a concern that you shouldn't drive your car with them when it gets cold out. We're not talking about a 2 door sports car that you only drive on good weather weekends but a daily driver.

And lots of Porsche discussions as they offer summer or all seasons on delivery.

Not hate, just added complexity with little upside to my situation. Very little added benefit where I live due to road conditions, traffic, weather, NYC roads, etc. etc. Obviously automobile "nirvana" is having a separate set of wheels + tires for each season. But to me, that's a PITA with nothing to gain. Again, YMMV depending where you live and your lifestyle. In my experience, they also wear much faster. And also, if I were dealing with a Porsche-like service advisor, they would bend over backwards to accommodate a customer that walks in the door paying cash for a $100k car. Tesla could care less.
