Wiki Model S Delivery Update

For anyone picking up their cars, I created a new delivery checklist: 2022 Model S: Delivery Checklist

I consolidated two checklists from the main delivery thread, and organized them by area of the car so it's easier to go through the car section by section. I personally find this easier than the comprehensive but ad-hoc lists that currently exist

Thanks for this. We pick up today. :)

I’m…not sure what you’re referring to, sorry. At least I don’t see any adjustment I can make easily? Show all of us the way! 😂
These 3 adjusters work by twisting in and out..

Let me know how that turns out. Debating whether or not to file a ticket with Tesla
Didn’t work out.

Ok so my adjusters are wacky, kind of like maybe they did the best they could but no dice. The left side (where the hatch is slightly too high) shows no adjustment possible compared to the right. In addition the hatch is leaving marks on the plastic for some reason. Not sure if this is normal or not.

But that said it’s not terrible. I’m certainly not letting Tesla do any more crazy adjustments on it for fear they’ll mess something else up. Sorry for the glare but this is how off mine is. Not terrible on the left side, and about spot on on the right. I checked out a bunch at the delivery lot and they were all like this to varying degrees.

Maybe different places handle things differently, but I was not able to open the car without accepting it first either, and that was at the factory.
You have to insist, and tell them you will reject delivery otherwise. They will tell you that they can't open the car, but of course they can.

I made several trips, met with SA, helping with multiple friend's deliveries, to grease the skids.

Made delivery appt when the store was not busy.

They told me to take all the time I needed, about 90 min.

Honestly not sure what I’m looking at. It looks fine to me.

Yes... Biggest is you can't open the car and inspect the inside without accepting the car.

Usually car is driven to you.
I picked up at a SC and I wasn't allowed to open the car to inspect inside before accepting it. I argued for several minutes with them and finally I gave in since they confirmed they'll fix anything I find wrong inside after acceptance. There were some issues on the interior and they did warranty/replace the issues I found for free after accepting.
