Wiki Model S Delivery Update

It depends on what you want to do. You need the Tesla Apps to access your car and start you car. You can lock and unlock your car anywhere with your phone. You can turn on or off AC or lowering window. You can see where your car is driving if you share the account access to someone else to drive your car.
I thought some watch Tesla apps could let leave my phone behind and drive away using the Apple Watch app?

Just picked up my MSP today. Was honestly surprised how fast it took and I didn’t have enough time to sell my previous M3LR.

Ordered 8/18, delivery 8/27. Black on white.

For the most part, no issues with delivery. There was a small scuff on top of one of the side cameras but they took care of it right away. After driving away, I noticed that the left steering wheel scroll button doesn’t register a right press most of the time. Definitely felt cheaper than my M3LR. Going to set up a service appointment to take a look at this.

Was very surprised to find the mobile charger in the frunk, and the delivery specialist even threw in a key fob for me.

I also had a bad left scroll wheel. Mobile came out and replaced the entire wheel in minutes.

You are entitled to 2 key fobs.

Please do! Would love to know what they did!
When service was out to fix a few things from delivery I had him take a look at mine. He put some double-sided tape on the side that was loose and would not snap together. that seemed to fixed 99% of my rattle. Not sure how long it will last but so far so good.

2 months in and I have never swiveled the screen fwiw too.

When I picked up my MSLR White/Black, the swivel back cover was not even installed. But the SC ordered the part for me and they installed it later. I would recommend to replace the back swivel cover box if you think that is causing rattles or noise from that location. No noise or rattlers if the back cover is installed properly.

Some of us do believe Tesla is taped or glued together. :)

I think Tesla's assemebly line is too much automated to cause QC issues. If that is the case, they have to fix the automation algorithms, which seem to be improving day by day. On the other hand, MYs coming out of Berlin seem to have perfection. Need to borrow the same for Fremont?

Ahh... well that might solve it anyway. Leaving the screen centered resolves it for the most part anyway.

Just a note for anyone who was considering the 3D Kagu mats. They show to be back in stock. I ordered last Thursday and they should be arriving tomorrow.
Thanks for the heads up, I’ve been waiting for them to be available again and just bought a set. I have the original Tesla all weather mats and they aren’t that good and don’t cover the dead pedal.

I don't know if assembling dash. screen and door panels are automated or by hand. I have never been inside Fremont plant. I saw video of other assembly plants and a lot is still put together by human, such as seats.

I swiveled once or twice the first day I got the car and keep it at the non-swivel position. I find the swivel to be a wasted feature for me. I would have rather had auto-opening doors like the Model X has than swivel of the screen, or to make the screen come up a few inches so it could not be blocked by the right side of the yoke.

Same control knob issue. The service center replaced it and it works now.
