Model S design aesthetics discussion - past, present & future

The Model S was Tesla's first "mass production" car. The design was first conceived in 2007, which means that in just a few years, the first drawings of this vehicle will be 20 years old. As a brand new owner of this "dated" car I am undoubtedly biased - in my car I see beautiful, classical, futuristic lines which seem to me to be timeless 🤩. Although Tesla's primary bets right now appear to be in the Gigafactory-produced EVs, I think the Model S will remain Tesla's Halo car for a while, unless of course they come up with something truly next level.

I've made this thread to talk purely about the visual aspects of the Model S design. Let's talk about design origins from "Whitestar" days as well as the first production models, how the vehicle's external and internal design has evolved between 2012 and today, and speculate about future visual updates to this car. Share your photos, AI renders, drawings, sketches, anything which compliments the discussion about design.

Please note this thread focuses on aesthetics, and any technical discussion should be limited to that which affects aesthetics - for example, the Model S has had updates to headlight technology, to the front fascia, to the infotainment layout, seats etc.

As a conversation starter, attached are AI (Fotor) cyberpunk renders of photos I took of my own 2019 Model S 75D (RHD).
