We are having an issue with the front passenger door handle of our 2015 model S. I see that these are common problems, but our symptoms seem to be slightly different.
1. The handle doesn't present, although sometimes it comes out slightly. But when we press in on the door handle a couple times, Instead of presenting the handle, the door opens and we can grab the edge of the door with our fingers and get it open.
2. When the door closes, the handle kind of bounces inward, unlatching the door. So the only way to shut the door is to shut it gently.
Does this sound like it could be fixed with a Tesla Model S Door Handle Upgrade Kit, or will it likely need an entire new door handle assembly?
