I'd been driving an S I bought early last year until recently when I traded it for a new S (traded it to get the v2 hardware).

Don't know if I am imagining it or not but it seems like when I pull into the garage at night the headlights of the new S are a lot brighter than those on the previous S.

Are the new S lights brighter?

Auto-brights? Mine switch on and then up as I go into the garage and often do not revert depending on what the light is hitting.

I don't think so since I do not have auto-brights enabled. But I'll check next time I pull into the garage. Thanks.

Yes. They are now LED and significantly better.

Except the new LED DRL's are significantly dimmer which is stupid.

The new LED DRLs look just as bright as the original style, but they look better because the light band is more continuous. To my eyes that definitely are not "significantly dimmer".

Agreed. I like the older ones much better. The new ones also look so sterile to me.
