    On another forum, one of the more eloquent and vocal members said that our beloved car is based upon the 1996 EV-1. Nothing new under the sun save a larger battery. And it was not that green at all!

    Them's fighting words! Anyway, this individual is a well-respected trial lawyer, so I want to direct him to the best unbiased information to rebut his baseless statements. All replies are thankfully appreciated.

    This forum where we are having our difference of opinion is not an automobile forum.

    Well, the battery chemistry (lead-acid and then NiMH) and design (large cells) are completely different. The EV-1 was a two door, two seat car, with a range of about 40 miles. 0-60 in 8 seconds! Top speed 80mph!

    To be fair, they both have four wheels...

    It's such an absurd assertion to make and so easily rebuffed if one had any desire to learn, that I wouldn't even bother engaging him.
