Hi Stephen,
I enjoyed reading your creative account of the theft of your Tesla, especially the part about wanting to be alone in a cell with the culprits. lol :biggrin:

There was a Roadster at the LA store once that was part of a police sting operation. They told me that they (Tesla) had lost track of that car. Don't know more than that.

Hmmm... This creative anti-theft approach makes me wonder about Canadian certification. The Roadster had to be modified to include the "immobilizer" capability-- the unlock button on the key fob must be pressed within a certain amount of time of switching the car on with the key. Perhaps Ottawa will accept the RF-ID of the fob to replace the active key press, or maybe those of us up north will be forced into an extra step to start the car (pressing a button on the fob)!
