Model S LR 19" Tire Size

You would think something as easy as finding the correct tire size is simple.

Not sure if they are staggered or not but seem to think they are not and the correct size all around is P245/45R19.

Can someone confirm this is correct as I want to order winter tires.

They have the tire sizes listed in the owners manual. Here's link to it on Tesla's site. Look under specifications > wheels and tires

Same winter tire/rim question - will 245/45/19 fit 2021 model S LR? that’s the tire size/rim package that tire rack sells for about $2500
tsportline has the original size - 255/45/19 or 255/40/20 - for almost $7,500 and $4500 respectively.

Huge difference but not sure if 245/45/19 will fit refresh S.

I opened up another question in the winter tire thread. It appears 245/45/19 wont work on the rear (wider track on the 21's). waiting on confirmation if other sizes fits, but definitely 245/45/19 on 8.5" width rims will not work.

Winter tires can be purchased from a Tesla service center or may be available for purchase on the Tesla web site.

Squaring off is something that is rather common with a staggered setup for winter wheels. I actually have this on my Mercedes AMG. Here is Tire Racks take. https://blog.tirerack.com/blog/hunt...ered-vehicle-can-i-go-back-to-a-square-set-up.

Most likely I will be going with 255/45 19 all around.
But, as the article says, the wheels are different widths and offset, for some reason. If this was so simple, what would be Tesla's reason to put a bigger 19" wheel on the rear (with a different offset)? You couldn't rotate all 4 tires when the front and rear have different offsets and wheel width sizes, even if the tires were all the same size. The 19" larger-width wheels with a different offset would not fit on the front. Everything would be off -- otherwise Tesla would have made them all the same offset, size, and tire size like all earlier 19" Tesla have.

Mostly for looks and better performance on RWD vehicles. Tesla, although AWD is RWD biased meaning the rear needs to slip before the front kicks in. This is helpful in understanding a staggered setup. Staggered Wheels Pros and Cons.
But the rear wheels are 1" wider than the front wheels with different offsets. Are you saying this was for looks? Do you believe these will fit on the front, and the front will fit on the rear?

For those wanting to go 19" square for the 2021 Model S LR refresh here is what I have on come up with.

Picked up the Tesla BT TPMS sensors At Tesla

Using stock front size all around 255/45 19 Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 (same stock size as Model Y)

Using these spacers in the rear to adjust tire so it is close to where the stock tire sits at towards the exterior of the wheel well.

RTX Spider wheels. (# 082737) Spider - Gloss Black

Have everything on order, hopefully no fitment issues. Will get back to all when I eventually take delivery of the S
