Guessing this is the prototype? Maybe they're raffling and entry to the 10/1 event.

Thanks for spotting this, Trnsl8r. Will check it out by this weekend if not today itself (have to pickup the kid from a Palo Alto school anyway so, there's an excuse to venture that way )!

Cool. Report back please. :) Was thinking about heading over there, but it's not that close for me and I'm thinking about savoring the moment on Oct 2 instead...

Well it was on my way biking back after donating blood, so I stopped in. Bit of an odd display. They have the White "roller" with extra tinted windows there amongst some mannequins.

I believe we should move this thread to "Where's the Charge Port" thread

Not until you manipulate the photo so that the port is on the other side.

Looks pretty desolate. Were there any patrons coming up to see it?

The pic matches where Franz said it would be.

I have it on good authority that the charge port is hidden behind the taillight....

Says Whom? All I've gotten out of them is they will be announcing the location and type in a few weeks.

That could work I guess. You could always back into a charging spot too.

    Hi,

It's in the general location, but Franz said it would be hidden. So I don't think this car represents the final production version.

    Where's the charging port?

They must be laughing like crazy at Tesla, if they follow the charging port location topic.

Guys, this white car is just body panels on a wooden frame. It's been around since the unveiling some years ago. It has a "charge port" there because that's where it is on the "prototype" which is a rebodied CLS with a Roadster drivetrain.

See the white car in the background here:

and in this set of photos I took back then:

I can't see the charge port anymore (mockup or not) when I'm blinded by that glorious cargo space.

I'm actually anticipating more space than that though
