Sorry.....I cannot contain my excitement. I've been on the forum for the last 2 hrs trying to kill some time, but the time has FINALLY come! I'm about to make my last ICE drive in my now, wife's Prius, to got get my MS. I will post pictures as soon as I can breathe again....


So in the last 5Hrs, I took delivery of the best car I've ever driven, then I drove about 100 miles all over LA.
This car is beyond words.
Everyone still waiting.....it is worth the wait! Sit tight!!!

I picked up my 29134 on March 21.

It was late (7PM), lots of cars in the lot awaiting pickup.

Thank you Tesla, great car.

The car went into production on March 18. Still showing a deliver day of March 27.

Production complete (3/21). Deliver is expected early on 3/25!

2. @Ulgiest1 got an inventory car, so he doesn't belong in this table at all! Will filter him out on future stats related to order times, which I'm sure he won't complain about, since the lucky guy got to get a car right away when he "ordered"!

Update: Estimated Delivery (w/appointment for pick up time!) 25th April

The Owner Advisor quoted 9 weeks at the onset and now my Delivery Experience Specialist has planned this appointment which works out to 7 weeks from confirmation. The 2 week gap makes sense as the ordering process allows for this period of time between deposit and confirmation. However I confirmed almost immediately hoping that this would move things along. The My Tesla status is still "Sourcing Parts" so it will be interesting to see how this plays out. So far -- the experience is impressive.

My production was complete as of last night. I was hoping for a call/email for an early pickup on Monday at the factory, but it seems I still stand for Tuesday.

Might be worth it to call/email them instead. While my delivery specialists have been very accommodating it seems like I have had to do most of the requests for information or status updates from them. Also if you look on the scheduling and click the edit button, I noticed that got updated before I ever heard anything from them about getting it moved up. So I would click edit and see if Monday shows up.

Iv learned that calling my DS is almost pointless. Never have I once got a call back from him, but he will respond within minutes when I send him an email.

My green MS85 33842 is on a truck today heading down to Costa Mesa. I rescheduled delivery on line from 3/26 to 3/25.

The DS staff have been helpful and I both email and call if I really need to get a hold of them. Problem is that they're delivering cars most of the day.

Is is it too late to change my color?

Y'know, it's too bad you can't enable the smartphone app and link to your car as soon as it is complete from the factory. Imagine the hours of entertainment watching the little GPS marker move closer and closer.... "hey, it's been stopped for 65 minutes! What's that truck driver doing, taking a lunch AND a coffee break!!???"

Update - car went into production Friday morning (3/21/2014) and is complete and being prepared for delivery as of this morning, 10:30AM. I guess they're working weekends/nonstop to produce.
