It is not really a price cut, is it? Tesla just reduced the list of mandatory options. Good that they removed the mandatory 21s and Air suspension. Not so sure about the other bits. Still, maybe there is someone out there who wants a P85D without Autopilot or Next Gen Seats...?
I thought of it as a price cut. But I suspect few "stripper" P85Ds will be sold. But like you said, 21s and air. That is still a chunk of money.
Of the 45 configs in the P85D order tracking spreadsheet, there's only 1 "stripper" P85D in our sample set. I wouldn't be surprised if that percentage of roughly 2-3% holds up across all orders.
