Sorry - typo. I meant to write 245/40/20. No rubbing at that size. I think you're right - 245/45/20 would rub.

I just did a ceramic coat last night (DIY), after work. Not perfect but good enough for a daily driver.

Wheels are powder coated satin black and few other addons like sport pedals, lighting up regraded etc...

The black powder coat looks fantastic, I just ordered black wheels, now I wish I hade done that instead. Nice job.

I was going to pick a set of Arachnids but I am now opting to powder coat my 21 inch turbines from grey to satin black. Staggered, lowered, 20mm spacers like some other posts in here that look so hot. For Powder coating.. Does the rubber need to come off etc? It seems like a much more permanent/better job than Plasti Dip (where you can leave the rubber on).

Yes, the rubber should be taken off as most places also powder coat the inner barrels, inside side of the spokes etc.

On a more mundane note, on my Model S I tried swapping my 21" Carbon Turbines for an aftermarket set of Axe 20" alloys.
The look is different but I'm not convinced...what do you think?

New to the forum. 2014 Model S P85D.

Plasti Dipped trim and nosecone. Will vinyl the rest of the chrome this spring.

Winter setup in the pics. 19x8.5 Drag wheels with Michelin Xice tires 245/40, same specs as stock 19's setup.

Have the staggered dark gray turbines for summer set. Will sell them this spring too for an aftermarket setup.

Owned a bunch of tuned s line Audi's before recently purchasing this used P85D. Most recent pic attached. Tuned to 600hp. S7

With all this craziness in the world I have not had a chance to give this machine a proper wash and photo shoot, but in the mean time here is a driveway shot of my 2020 LR+ with 22x9 and 22v10.5 Forgestar F14's wrapped in Conti DWS-06 255/30 - 295/25 (Thanks to [email protected]) Tint, chrome delete, lowering links and some carbon fiber to finish it off...
