Model S Plaid footwell lights dim?

Are anyone else's footwell lights really dim? I checked and the light strips have been pulled through the slit that's cut out for them to fit through.

Is there a setting to increase the brightness? Mine are barely visible on both the drivers and passenger's side, almost as if they aren't on.

I’d noticed my driver’s side is dimmer than the passenger side. Probably by design to prevent blinding the driver, but who knows…
