Model S powered down on it's own. Why?

Got in today and when I went to shift into Drive, the entire car powered down for several minutes. Nothing would respond.

Then it rebooted on it's own.

Anyone ever have that happen? Should I report this via the app? After it rebooted, I put it in drive and not further problems,

Not the norm, but can a unplanned reboot occur? Yes. At anytime? Yes. Is it likely that the SC will find any issue and take any action on that one event?

No.

Are you within your rights to report it/open a ticket for it for them to remote analyze logs?
Yes

Hasn't repeated yet but makes me wonder if something failed, like an intermittent connection. Not something I would feel comfortable with on a road trip.

Reminds me of the one failure I had when the car was new. The trunk hatch would not latch on close. It would go down and then go right back up again. I went back to the SC and it worked great and hasn't repeated that since. SC manager said I can't fix what isn't broke.

Unlike those Model Y's my MS has been near perfect.

Yes this happened to me a couple times an update ago, even had it reboot during a drive.

I’m currently on 2020.48.35.5 and haven’t seen since this update!
