Model S Premium Audio

Does anyone know if the Premium Audio system in the Performance Model S is the same as the Premium Audio system in the Performance Model 3?

If not, does has anyone had an opportunity to compare the two?

No, they are different. Amps, speakers, sub enclosure, all different.

Our friends have both models and they think the 3’s audio is much better. The S has the premium system.

Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping Tesla had adopted the Model 3's premium audio components in the new Model S's, given how highly they have been received by users.

Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping Tesla had adopted the Model 3's premium audio components in the new Model S's, given how highly they have been received by users.

It would be nice to have the M3 audio components in the S because they are better, but probably a low priority since there would be changes required for other related components, wiring, brackets, etc. The savings in standardization would likely not be enough to justify the expense of all of the required modifications. More speakers, speaker footprints, amp sizes, harnesses and connectors, trim and other pieces where speakers are mounted - all are different.
