    Keep in mind, when you order these installed from the factory, the rear bumper in reinforced. You probably shouldn't just do a plug and play in a normal MS...

    Yes, that reinforcement could be purchased separately. I would be interested, but I have heard that Tesla is no longer installing these as an aftermarket option and the process is somewhat involved...

    Actually, very easy if your care has the precut and predrilled placeholders and holes, which supposedly most after 2015, do have. Yes the additional bumper is critical, my service center ordered me one and will fit it. The seat itself I did myself.
