A special run of two!Yes texture out, smooth facing tire Thank you…cool
Exactly. Really confused why people are nuking this process. Just flip them around and use on the other side of the car.Wouldn’t you just flip them from one side to the other to get textured or non textured side out?
I’ll do textured side out if it is not too late, thank you
Well, I’ll give you a reason. These have been thermally heated and set curvature!Exactly. Really confused why people are nuking this process. Just flip them around and use on the other side of the car.
Formed curvature prevents this type of solution.Wouldn’t you just flip them from one side to the other to get textured or non textured side out?

Seeing the preproduction photos, that is correct. I retract my statement.Formed curvature prevents this type of solution.
@chrisdh79 Thank you for all the downvotes today, sir, may I have another?!Seeing the preproduction photos, that is correct. I retract my statement.
How are you doing with the first batch?Whoever in this first list of 10 who wants a "smooth side out, textured side towards the tire." Set of flaps, speak now or forever sing Soprano.
Cutting the first set of 10 tonight. Probably beginning to thermoform tomorrow after which time they will not be reversible.
Mine came out greatHow are you doing with the first batch?

Awesome update! Is it too late to switch to rough side toward the rear of the car? I decided I might prefer that for consistency! What a beautiful sight.

First 40 flaps have been rough cut (first 10 sets of 4).
Sorry I didn't get this done earlier, this last week was busy.
Here's what led to this point:
The delay in shipping for the plastic was probably due to this:View attachment 745491
Amazon chose to ship 5 1/8th sheets of plastic in 5 separate boxes.
They sat most of the week until I had time to finalize the rear flap template/tool, and update the front template/tool to match the final changes I made to my front flaps when I corrected the profile.

Here is the fresh plastic complete with scratches right out of the box:

If you look closely you can see my final cut tracing inside the rough cuts:

Which leads me to the final bit for this post:
Here is what is left to do:
1. Fine cut with scoring blade and scroll saw to get the perfect shapes.
2. Sanding, a whole lot of sanding.
3. Drilling all the flaps using the tools.
4. Thermoforming all the integrated clips with a torch.
5. Thermoforming the flap shapes to match the wheel well shapes.
I'll keep you posted as the steps progress.
Everyone asking to be added to the list, I see you.
