Model S Refresh Wipers Assistance Needed

New Plaid owner here and wanted to know how to turn on the windshield wipers without them spraying washer fluid. If I press the wipers button on the yoke, I do have the options to choose all of the different speeds, including auto but it sprays fluid each time that button is pressed. There are times, such as in light rain that I would like to turn them on without the fluid spray.

Unfortunately the tap to wipe works about 50% of the time on mine. I do just a very light tap and half the time it still sprays. Irritating beyond belief when you have clean windows.

Is the wiper voice command a viable option? I don't believe it triggers a wash based on what I've read.

New update fixed this. Have to hold down longer now to trigger spray.

What is the spray pattern on the plaid?
Is the fluid coming out of the wiper or from under the hood?
Does it work equally at 30km/h and 120km/h?

I have 85D and I hate the jets coming from under the hood. It does not work well at highway speed... I would not mind asking my garage to retrofit plaid system if it is better.

The spray nozzles are piped right up to the wiper arm so the fluid is dispensed directly onto the windshield from the wiper arm. No speed difference and works very well. You can even heat the fluid/wiper.

Nice to report back @Proppilot. I contacted my very good garage VEMTL in montreal and we will try to order the arms of the model s plaid and retrofit them on my 85D. I will report back what I find and if I go through with this experimental retrofit.

Do we have heated wipers? Or is that also for the cheaper model 3/y only?
