Model S Shipping Time to East Coast

I have a Model S estimated to be delivered in late March to April at the Paramus service center in NJ.

After checking the Model S tracker, I noticed varying shipping times to the East Coast.

User Sukeband recently had his Model S delivered to Paramus on March 10th with a shipping time of 8 days.

Do you guys have any comments on your shipping times?

I just got of call with my DS. My car arrived at Paramus, NJ service center yesterday. Ordered on 03/01, confirmed on 03/02, at service center on 03/14 on east coast ...this may be a record :) . I take the delivery on Thursday evening. Very excited. Next two days are going to be difficult.

Haha! That must be a record! Good luck with waiting haha. Take pictures! Will be waiting for your post!

I ordered mine from Aramis in February and the Website shows March 16 - 30 as a delivery date. How can I track where it is right now? I've seen many references riveting able to track the shipments but don't know how to actually do it. Thanks!

This was my wife's comment, "You tell your bromance (Elon) that Amazon lets me track my packages! He should let you know where your car is!"

Tesla chooses different transports all the time. As the end of quarter approaches, they use the more expensive and quicker options. So tracking would be a nightmare, as sometimes it is on rail and sometimes on various trucking shippers.

I just saw your update on the Model S tracker. This is probably the fastest production time ever for a Model S to be ordered, built, shipped, and delivered to the east coast. Compare that to delivery times from a year ago, it shows how much progress Tesla continues to make as they ramp up production.

Do vehicles need go be in customers' hands in order to count as "sold" for accounting purposes? If so, that's good news for me since
I'm waiting on my MS 90D for "Late March, April" delivery. Hopefully they'll get it to me this quarter. The Tesla delivery specialist told me it normally takes 10-14 days from Fremont to Chicago, which seems crazy (I commented to him that the horse they're hauling it behind must get pretty tired).

I wonder if they have a sufficient volume of orders these days that they can start building at least portions of some of the more popular configurations ahead of receiving orders for them, so that every vehicle doesn't have to be built from scratch starting a week after its ordered?

I know ...it is amazing how fast this has progressed. I was at Paramus, NJ service center today and the entire lot was filled with cars ready for delivery. I have never seen as many cars on that lot before.
