Model S Snow Chains

In need of snow chains and I notice Tesla website no longer has them listed for the model S. Anyone else notice this?

no but... be careful

there is very little clearance around the front tires for chains of any kind before they start interfering / hitting suspension parts, namely the upper ball joint

Chains should never be put on the front tires of a Tesla. The only chains that should be used are ones that only attach to the outside of the tire like the Trak Sport or Konig otherwise damage to the lower control arm will result. The Tesla supplied Trak SPorts have always been hard to come by.
Rear lower control arms being cut through due to the chains!

I carry auto socks. Cheaper than chains and approved in place do chains.

Yes. They work great in any area you’d need to use chains. I live at a high elevation and we have usually 2+ feet on the ground all winter. I usually have winter tyres on but there have been times that it wasn’t enough.

I watched some videos of auto socks and visited their web site. Such a simple idea! They don't make it easy finding a retailer in NA but I'll go check amazon now... or maybe sew my own!!

I wonder if the Trak Sport chains are coming back... I want em! Who wants to sell me theirs? Anyone know why they aren’t selling them anymore?
