Wow, Audi LDW gave force-feed resistance feedback to guide your hands to steer into the "best position"?! That's cool. And well thought out machine-human interaction to coach you into a better spot, continuously!

We're talking about how human interface is very important, and person-machine interactions are very important for the two-way communication and feedback needed between auto and car -- when both are assuming some capabilities in piloting the car.

So you are proposing that Tesla should disconnect the system that actually is paying attention (autopilot) and turn over the vehicle to the system (human) that has just proved to not be paying attention? And somehow this is safer??? just trying to follow your logic here.

ps. safely driven 18k+ miles on the current autopilot system.
