Model S Supercharging: USA to Europe

My family is looking to move from the US to Germany later this year. We would like to take our Model S (April 2016 build) with us. Does anyone know if this has been done in the past? Is there an adapter to allow us to use the European supercharging network?

You can install a US-spec Tesla Charger at your home.

As for fast DC charging, there are no adapters for the Mennekes Type 2 adapter used on Euro Teslas to the proprietary US Tesla connector. You can, however, get a CHAdeMO-to-Tesla adapter that will work. Not as fast or convenient, but that's it.

You'll also have to contend with maps navigation not working. And the fact that your rear turn signals will not be to code — US allows red, while Europe demands amber. US spec Teslas use red rear turn signals.

Bonus: Your warranty will not be valid in Europe!

It'll be expensive, but in your best interests, to sell your US-spec Tesla and buy a European Tesla.

In fact for the US car to import in Europa will be very easy to use supercharger now with CCS plug. Because it very easy to do it a adaptator and less cost.
if you look at CCS plug in supercharger and plug here on supercharger. that is same connector on different place in the plug

Partially incorrect. Yes, Tesla is installing secondary CCS plugs on European Superchargers to work with the Euro Model 3. Yes, Tesla will offer a CCS adapter for Mennekes-equipped Euro Models S and X. No, that adapter will not work with a US-spec vehicle equipped with Tesla's proprietary charge port.
