With 60 Minutes running ads during the NCAA Tounament for their upcoming show this should be great exposure leading up to the actual broadcast Sunday night.
Saw the same promo...DVR is programmed. Anyone else recording be sure to set an extension as that Sunday evening lineup runs notoriously late due to the unpredictability of the sports programming that precedes it.

Watching the Preview on the 60 Minutes app, this story looks to be more about Elon, starting with his PayPal days, Space X and Tesla. This conflicts a bit with the TV ad that makes it seem like the segment will be about the Model S. So it is probably a combination of Elon with some focus touting success of the Model S, IMHO.

It was likely a chase ICE car taking the video, not added noise. Unfortunately that chase vehicle wasn't a Model S!
I sure hope they explain that in the show. It sounded ridiculous in the ad I saw during a bball game.
They don't. They make it sound like a muscle car. It was over the top. Don't buy the chase car noise theory. The added sound was still there even when they filmed the Model S going around a corner with a stationary camera.
The 'motor noise' was not good but overall the piece was very positive. Certainly focused most on Elon and his drive to drag humanity forward. Hit all the high notes about the 'S'; Consumer Reports highest score; highest NHTSA safety test; high tech nature of the car (comparing it as Model S to ICE; like iPhone to land line phone). No mention of battery puncture, etc,etc......
