I think the charger was right on the track, too. Those aren't comparable since one was done on a closed track and the other done on the public roads.

This test in no way reflects real world possibilities, nor was it meant to. The Taycan test at Nardo was for endurance purposes. It proves the Porsche powertrain and battery can handle constant high output and charging.

Taycan made 24h long distance drive with 3425km and Model 3 made 24h with 2842km. This is not only a result of 350kW charging power. Documentation of Model 3 24h driving you find here 24h world record
But they are claiming it's a 24 hr distance record for an ev, and people are comparing it to Bjorn Nyland's attempt on public streets. The implication being that the Porsche is more capable, when in fact it was just the venue.
Are they? It seems to me that they are underscoring the conditions and results of their endurance testing. I'm not seeing where they are claiming a distance record...

Why were there yellow lights? Is that a European standard or yellow for braking (generally) or is it indicative or regen braking?Looks like there is a bit of understeer and the suspension is not controlling the body motion properly. It's not surprising though if they have never tuned the car on the Ring. Question is whether they can tune it without major mod to the suspension geometry since it probably needs change to camber and toe angles besides damping and spring rate.
I doubt Porsche will do that. If a magazine wants to do it, then I think Porsche may supply a car. But from what I have seen with their other models, Porsche only sets records at Ring. The 919 record runs were a bit different because they were going after the fastest of any kind at the track they went to.Taycan should attempt a record at Laguna.

What was the record before "the Taycan mastered this ambitious endurance run without any problems?" What was so ambitious about it? Does it still stand?
I think you are getting caught up in marketing speak. Maybe take a moment and breathe?
