TESL MODEL S
Interesting that the repair cost is $1 over the full retail price of the car.
i wonder how they calculated that.
There's not really anything there that doesn't have to be replaced, except for the body. And they have to do it without a factory. I'm guessing they're gonna call that totaled.
Any idea if the internals of the battery survived?
So sad. Anyone know the story behind this?
A little club soda should take that out.
It would make a cool decoration, just keep it parked out side my house.
Just put it in rice
Shame its only USA, i'd have a go at repairing it, if I could that is. Airbags not deployed, screen looks ok. Bit of elbow grease, bodge the electrics and Bobs your Uncle.
Until you bring it to a service center to get all the electronics turned on and they refuse because its a salvage title.
Usually a flooded ICE car means all the electronics have to be replaced and your good to go, so what does that mean on an electric car....
Well the current bid is $25. I'd pay that and just pull the wheels and tires off and see about scraping the rest of the car.
Looks like they had a WeatherTech rear mat. Guess it couldn't hold all the water:smile:
But if you hose it off it will be good as new!
They should have purchased the model with the pump.
Here's an even better fixer-upper!

A little bondo and some patience and all's good! =)
That'll buff right out!
