Think about how the tire sits on the ground, and you will understand how the different position affects the wear pattern.

Camber means the tires are closer together at the top than the bottom (negative camber) which if you lean the tire over, only the inside edge is pressing the ground. This is why the inside edge wears off. This one doesn't affect the energy as much as toe.

Toe means the tires are closer together at the front / leading edge. IIRC this is also the negative number. Excessive toe means the tires are scrubbing the entire tread surface diagonally in relation to the forward motion - this will eat the entire tread evenly but WAY fast. It also needs more energy so reduced economy.

In theory you can do the adjustments with plates and a good tape measure... But a quality alignment from somewhere willing to listen to instructions is better.

You can 100% set toe at home with some time and patience. It's more complicated if you are adjusting camber, toe, and caster but if we're talking specifically about the Macboost spacer kit the only thing you can control is the toe.

- verify a level surface
- set your vehicle in low
- measure
- adjust toe
- measure & repeat until you have your desired toe
