Model X floor models?

So with Tesla time, that means June. In all seriousness, I doubt that will happen that soon. There is a lot of circumstantial evidence out there that suggests Tesla will struggle to get 100 Signature X's out the door this year. I imagine they will get all the signature models delivered before floor models and there are ~1000 signature reservations out there (minus cancellations).

I wonder where these X's are headed then - I saw my first Model X in Ohio today : teslamotors
Founder's cars delivered. Sigs ? Floor models ? Could be floor models since Bonnie you are not getting your Sig #2 anytime soon.

Six Founders are delivered. I believe there are just over 30 total Founders. I believe they are also producing approximately 35 cars for regional drive events (not for placement in stores).

Jenny received a call tonight from someone who went to Scottsdale's Fashion Square today, and relayed to her that they expected to have an X on the floor in January.

2016, that is....

I wouldn't be surprised if they loan out some of the sigs to showroom before delivery to their owner so other people can sit in them and try them out. Most definitely the white ones probably even numbered. They will then make up some excuse about finding a part as the reason for delay.

Pretty sure any owner (sig or not) would be annoyed by that. The founders were very nice in letting folks in their vehicles at the event.

In all honesty they could use the last mules they made, as I would imagine there would be very little difference between them and the production vehicles. Even if there is they could simple update the newest mules by hand to resemble the production X.

They did that with Model S & then had to field countless comments about the fit/finish. Look back through the 'mule sighting' threads and see how many comments there are about the doors not lining up. Not sure if it would be worth it.

In my discussions with Tesla/Fremont and Tesla/Bethesda I was told that they expect to deliver ALL Sig X's by year end, AND have X's in show rooms by Xmas.

Sorry for any lack of knowledge here: were these people at a rather high level who would have a decent sense of production capability? Speaking to someone at my local Tesla store a couple of days ago, he was hoping by end of year, but had no actual information from above. Guessing/hoping like the rest of us.

Mid-late November seems to be the consensus from "most" conversations people have had with sales reps ....... ...... 2015! Yeah...

Are these sales people who know anything? Or people just guessing? Many sales people like to talk like they have some kind of knowledge on a topic even when they don't. As noted above, I was talking to a local sales rep the other day and he was hoping to have one in the store by the end of the year. To clarify, I asked if he had any info from above on that, and he admitted that he didn't. I doubt many sales people (if any) have a clue. And based on some of Elon's recent comments about suppliers*, I really wonder if anyone has a real clue.

*Elon: “If you can tell me when and how these suppliers will deliver these parts, I can tell you how many Model Xs we’ll make.”

Unsurprisingly, you seem to have some inside info. :D Didn't realize there were >30 Founder cars.

Thanks for the info... explains the odd sighting.
