Model X June Deliveries

Definately, the delivery fee is roughly 600 USD here in Denmark, that includes the 250 USD license plates. All of the around 15 Model X that are going to be delivered next week went by plane. This is because of a new tax coming out here on the first of July that adds an additionally 30% on top of the car. Tesla promised us all that we would get the car before the end of this month. And they decided to keep that promise.

Wow--that's crazy and I can't imagine how much it costs to transport an SUV by plane. I would guess this is motivated both to limit your tax burden and to maximize quarterly delivery numbers.

CONGRATS @VABarb !! How was the delivery experience at Tyco?
@XHokie Great experience... you don't get any free stuff like other folks did. (but hey - I was there for the car). Your Delivery Specialist (mine was Jessica) turns you over to a delivery coordinator for the detail run thru and paperwork. That was Dan for my delivery he was great and very knowledgeable... given that TMC members are spending all of our pre-delivery time learning about the X! TYCO has three delivery bays behind the main showroom. They were doing two X deliveries and one S when I was there. I got there 45min early (didn't know how traffic would be coming in from Richmond) and they were fine with it. I waited maybe 10 min and was able to start. They had no problems with using the check list and I did not feel pressured at all.

Wow! Beautiful car, and great news about condition. How was your whole delivery experience? And did you get a seat bag? Most people are reporting umbrella, mug, and pen.

I was able to purchase the flat tire repair kit while I was there. Since I live more than 50 miles (50 miles is flat tire tow range - it's 500 miles for mechanical) I figured it was a good investment.

I did try to purchase autopilot while I was there (didn't pre-order because it had just come out) but there was some confusion.. In the end it turns out I will order it online and then the tech has to do the initial software load when they come down to Richmond. Seems the initial load is too big to do totally wireless.

Thanks for the additional detail! My pick up there might be this week, or two weeks from now.

Picked up our Red X at Tyco on the 16th @ 3pm. Fully wrapped (including edges) in Suntek by 11PM. Perfect fit and finish. Took it on a 500+ mile road trip -- AC compressor cut out 2x on the first part of the trip -- hard reset to reboot. Hasn't cut out since... SC is going to check it out but I suspect it was a "break in" issue... Now we are a 100% electric family, as our X joins the S.

Congratulations.
Good to see another Red one. Mine coming in a few days (3 but who is counting). Perhaps they batched a bunch of Red ones.

Picking up my red 90D in Tyco on Thursday evening! Will be getting a full wrap with clear guard nano soon thereafter, and probably window tint (for heat/glare; not dark) shortly thereafter.

Congrats! Please share how your delivery experience is at Tyco? Who is your DS? Also, where in NoVA are you planning to get your X wrapped?

Picked up my Premium 90D Vin 55XX on Friday in Fremont! What a great experience! The customer service and walkthrough+tour was amazing for me and my friends. A few minor issues on alignment of the rear side window frames. Some scuffs here and there, but really no complaint as of yet! Love the car! Got my goodie bag and sun visor. Fixed spoiler :(. Waiting for my call to bring the X in for the stuff we annotated at delivery. The car is amazing, but honestly I left thinking what a great company it was and how all dealerships/companies should make people feel the same after buying a car.

I agree with the advice certain people are saying when picking up...enjoy the experience...I didn't want to leave! Thank you to all for all the great advice and posts! Happy to help anyone I can as well! The car/experience helped me feel a little better after Game 7...

Hope the other June deliveries and beyond have as much fun as I did at delivery!!!

PS Yes we took the obligatory FWD pose as well... :?

DS emailed me today!
----------------------
Your Model X has actually just completed production, and will be ready for you very soon. How does your schedule look early next week?
-----------------------
it entered production on 11th. I seems like they are shipping to oregon this week. DS ask my schedule early next week! Sounds like they are not going to do a final inspection? or just a one night inspection and deliver to me??

Congrats--the joy in these pictures is obvious. Wish I could pick up at the factory, too, but looking forward to the experience without that part. Enjoy!
