Model X Key? Door Handles?

I would hope the handles are "pull" not "push". Otherwise there will always be fingerprints on the visible part of the chrome. I'm sort of picky about this.

Not only that, but they need to be functional in case of an accident and/or total power loss. You can't assume that crawling out the front door is always possible.

I don't think the exterior handles will work on the Model S in a total power loss. The interior handles will still work on the front doors, as will the levers under the rear bench. But I think the exterior handles simply close a switch, which triggers an actuator, and thus require power to operate.

No one outside of Tesla can answer those questions, and those inside Tesla won't answer them. Patience grasshopper...all will be revealed by mid-summer.
