So over on the UK MX thread people are talking about estimated delivery dates on their myTesla. Ive never had one. Is that normal for the Aus mytesla site?
At first i thought it was because they literally had no idea when they would be built, then once built it never came through so i figured that was because of the lack of government approval.
Now, i really wonder if they enable this field for aus at all?

@Blue heaven GUI has changed but essentially the same. So no delivery date estimates for aussies. Interesting

On one hand a delivery estimate is useful so the buyer knows when to move on their current car or other planning, on the other hand it must be a nightmare for delivery specialists dealing with the factory and Government red tape.

I doubt I"ll ever own a Model X but I'm almost as excited as all the buyers waiting for their X to be delivered, its really going to grab the publics attention.

semi-related. I can confirm after a recent chat with Tesla that if you place an order by the 15th the car will start the build before the April supercharging deadline. It was a solid commitment. So as long as you get an order in in the next 7 days you will have a car built before the April 15 date, get free supercharging for life and theoretically get your car before the end of April.

So, the last I has heard from Tesla, they had told me to expect a walk through date of 13 Jan. Today I asked for an update and was told that they were expecting to take delivery of the car at the end of the month. And that I would the car shortly thereafter.

Also, they had no information on homologation but I suspect this may be the reason for the delay, assuming the car shipped when they said it did.
Hi, my delivery specialist has a tentative date of 24 Jan for a walkthrough (in Melb) but like the rest of us, doesn't seem to exactly know whether that will be delivery day or it will be the week after, but he seems reasonably confident that we are now inside a month (and having waited 27 months already, I'm being philosophical about a few more weeks).
