Model X May Deliveries

Just got a message from my DS that my vin # 55XX has not entered production yet :(

According to DS there is a 20 day transit from factory to Atlanta/FL panhandle which puts me in mid June delivery window as of now.

I guess I'll need to wait for the June delivery thread :D

Anyone has an idea of actual transit/SC prep times to Atlanta/east coast?

When are you scheduled to enter production?

10 days ago I got an email from my DS in Atlanta saying that my 49xx vin entered production. Have not been able to get a hold of him since to verify where in production I am at this point. My DS has been very unresponsive to put it kindly.
10 days ago he said that I could expect an early to mid May delivery.
Interesting to learn the 20 day transit period between Fremont and ATL!

Our X took about 5 days to go from Fremont factory to South Florida, or should I say it was 5days between our old DS calling us saying "your car is on a truck on its way to Dania" and our new DS calling and saying "your car arrived at the Dania Beach SC today".

That aside, I'm going to go ahead and join this thread as our DS (the new one who I must say have been extremely communicative and responsive), called this morning to say we are looking at delivery next week!

My first post here in the forum.

VIN 43xx with similar experience to others: Initial window late Mar / early May, changed to late Apr / May, no updates in a while. DS not that helpful as far as predicting delivery time.

A silly question: Do they usually follow VIN assignment for production? Meaning, will they build 5xxx VINs before 4xxx VINs?

Thanks in advance.

@Carneiro from what myself and others have seen so far on this forum and via model X tracker the answer is no. Production has no rules! Just kidding. I'm sure there are rules, like similar build/option cars are built together or something like that. But with regards to VIN....no, production does not follow chronological order of VINS assigned.

Thank you. That was my feeling from what has been posted here.

Zac is my DS. So far I'm at 4 emails in past 12 months with 0 responses. Then one voicemail and only a response after I showed up at a service center and said is someone going to contact me about my car!?
The 20 days does sound awfully extreme as I'm not sure I've heard of it taking quite that long from anyone else on these forums.

In the early days, where we are today, there is not much adherence to VIN sequence numbers as there is to location and config compatibility. And of course shipping can totally skew the VIN sequence when you look at actual deliveries.

Later cars will come more in VIN sequence as their manufacturing processes mature.

Mine is Alex. I'm sure he threw me the 20 days thing just to get me off his back.
Initially I didn't get a response on couple emails I sent. Called tesla sales and he got emailed internally and started prompt responses.
In all fairness I don't want to get my car hurried and rather wait more and get problem free vehicle.
Fingers crossed I do t end up with end of quarter vehicle as we all know the numerous issues that occur when deliveries are rushed

Just e-mailed mine for an update. The last 4 of my VIN is 3756. My Tesla still says "Your estimated delivery window is Late April - May." and "Your order is now confirmed and in the factory production queue. Your delivery experience specialist will reach out with updates regarding your Model X."

Suggest giving them a call directly vs. email...our VINs are very similar with both heading to FL.

My DS said in production over a week ago and should be in FL within 10 days.

Just wanted to tell about a good experience. My DS is April.

VIN 41xx
Ordered 10/2014
Confirmed 1/11/2016
Then April updates me
'Body in White' 4/7
'Ending production' 4/15
She said that it should be shipped (to TX) this week, but they can't say for sure how many days since shipping is out of their hands.
Delivery should be early May.

90D premium, 7 seat.

Great communication with DS. Can't wait.

Canh99,

Where in Texas? I am in Houston and my vin 35xx and still haven't heard anything. 90d seven seater premium, obsidian with white interior. Did your order page update with those dates? Or was it through email? Mine still says late April-early May
