Just an update. I finally got assigned a delivery adviser but turns out the the Tesla account updates were not accurate (my Tesla account said production started on June 26, out of production July 2). The car was actually in production July 3, and out of production last week (so July 12-13) and still in California. She is saying probably early to mid August depending on how long it takes to clear customs (I am in Canada). Which really messes with our vacation plans, since we have a road trip planned to see my In-laws, already sold our minivan and given all the feedback to date thought that the car would be in Toronto by late next week. Sigh. Not a big deal in the larger picture, I know. Soon it will be here and the wait will be a memory. Of course it doesn't help that I am driving our 14 year old Dodge Ram truck without a/c until the X arrives! LOL

Once I saw it was in transit I contacted my advisor. He told me that a delivery specialist would be in touch when the car was 2 weeks away. Then I didn't hear anything for 2 weeks so I sent a note yesterday, which is when I got the adjusted timetable and information from the DS. So I wouldn't hesitate to contact them. The worst they are going to say is that they don't have any updates yet.

You will be contacted by a Tesla delivery specialist to arrange for payment and delivery of your Model X.

spoke to my OS he said they found a inventory vehicle and will be here by next week apparently? has this happened to anyone?

I gather it happens when someone else cancels the order that was the same confignas the one you ordered. Count yourself lucky - I wish mine would work out that way so I could have it now. ;)

Hello everyone. I am located in Vancouver BC Canada and I ordered a Model X 75D on June 29th. The order was confirmed on July 1st but I still don't have a vin number after 25 days. My delivery specialist and sales person have no additional information for me. The vehicle is supposed to be delivered in August. I looked at the spreadsheet and it appears that people usually get a vin number within a few days. Does anybody know what's happening or what I should do next? Thanks! :D

Ripper88, we didn't get a VIN until almost month after our order. Confirmed May 18, VIN June 8th (or so?) Okay slightly less than 25 days but felt like a while ;) Keep checking your online account, I suspect your VIN will pop up soon. Then it will be another couple of weeks until you get "into production"...then so on. When we ordered in mid May, it was a July delivery estimate....looks like it will be early-ish August reality.

Congrats on your order! I hop you see some movement soon! I know how painful the wait is once you decide to pull the trigger. I am now starring at my phone waiting for a call to schedule delivery....but nothing yet ;)

That's great! I hope you have a smooth delivery. Our cars were built at the same time, but mine is still in transit to Toronto. My delivery specialist is on vacation this week, so I don't know if I would hear anything either way.

Thanks! I hope so as well. Still not delivery time scheduled, as Tesla needs to fix an issue with the total price of my car (comes up more expensive on their end for some reason). So they are waiting on that to be fixed before scheduling delivery. Hopefully you'll get yours soon!

I’m in Vancouver, BC. Was supposed to take delovery of MS 75D today, appointment was set since Saturday. Get a call about 2 hoirs before appointment saying that “Headquarters is hbinf a system glitch and the Sales Contract cannot be prepared”. So no Delivery today and no new appointment made. I asked and was told that Tesla has been unabke to make any deliveries at all today (July 25) because of this, across the entire country (??).

A few rhings sound weird to me a out this:

1). Why cant they draft / prepare a contract copying one that they did before, like lets say yesterday or the day before, or the day before that. I asked why the contract would notbhave been prepared before today. He says they “now do them the same day as delivery”

2). Why are they still bookinf other deliveries? A friend of mine ordered pretty much the same car, at the same time, and from same location, and while this was going on with me and I was updating him, he got a call and to confirm an appointment for Friday to get his vehicle Delivered. He was told it would be Friday a few days before this “glitch” so they were just confirmed his and set a time. It wouldn’t deliveries all be pushed back a little if they were t able to delivery any vehicles at all today, and so far doesn’t look like tomorrow either?

This just doesn’t sound right to me. Or am I just being overly paranoid about being lied to?

My DS has not been helpful and never updated me. I was updated regularly when he was on vacation by someone else.

Anyone else supposed to get a vehicle today, or did get a vehicle today in Vancouver (or “all of Canada” since he said the entire country was afffected by this glitch).

I also noticed in my account mid day there was a new option for me to tick off that I took delivery of the vehicle on of before today. When I texted the screenshot to my DS he Asked if I could see the Sales Contract (I said no), and then that option was removed shortly after. I’ll try to put the screenshot image here.

Something seems weird here...

Thoughts anyone?

That sucks! Hopefully they'll resolve these issues soon and you can get your car.
I have heard of of them having issues with their contact system a week or so ago, and some people got their deliveries delayed so it sounds like that issue hasn't been 100% fixed. I'm guessing they are still scheduling deliveries because they assume the problem will be fixed. I have my delivery scheduled for tomorrow so crossing my fingers!

Take sleeping pill 7/30
Delivery Scheduled 7/31
I'm feeling the same... picking mine up tomorrow, can't wait!

Meanwhile,
I ordered July 15th and had a VIN within 48 hours and cancelled the next day. Page still shows my VIN, want one? o_O

Got my confirmation and VIN a few hours ago!

So that happened on the 7th of July. Since then, my account page has said that the car (who shalt be named Tessie, of course) was in production. But I called up my DS yesterday, and he said that she left production on July 25th! He’ll let me know when she boards her ship, because apparently the account page is crap at tracking, but at least it’s forward progress. Still expecting delivery sometime in September.
