My order advisor submit a case to do a price adjustment. It came back declined :-(

This is what she wrote: "I looked more into your account and I am unable to get an adjustment for you. When you placed your order you are subject to the price at the time of order. We no longer offer the Metallic Silver color, nor do we offer the black headliner or the carbon fiber. Thankfully you got a car that matches your exact configuration! I am so excited for you to take delivery of your Model X!"

For one, since the only factory for North America is located on the west coast, time between end of production and delivery are shorter because you don’t have to move the car by truck that far.

Then yes, we have seen Tesla priorizing production and deliveries during September to the west coast to move as many cars as possible before the end of their quarter.

Got a response from my DS today on my question on why my order from September was projected for delivery in November, but is likely to arrive in December:

"the production for Model X vehicles are fairly fluid and are typically delivered near the end of the fiscal quarter"

Maybe that's the case for us Canadians?

Ordered Oct 30th and confirmed Nov 1st for a new MX.

I am being told by the sales advisor to expect delivery by 12/29 - but my status still says scheduled for production. Getting delivered to Brooklyn, NY.

The sales advisor mentioned the recent Musk tweet about delivery occuring before year end - which I thought was only for Model 3s. The sales advisor said it applied across the board (for all the models).

Anyone have any insight here? Obviously looking to get the car before end of year for the tax break/business deduction in 2018.

Be careful of the "if you pay in full, you can take the full tax credit" talk that we've heard before. It is when the car is put into service and not when the payment is made. You may be asked to pay in full near end of December for this "tax opinion" but it's not a proper one. You may as well refuse delivery and make another order in January using your deposit as there may be a price drop as the tax credit is reduced. When the tax credit is lowered, I am expecting the makers like Tesla and GM to take money off the hood and lower prices accordingly.

My confirmation was just a day before yours, and I noticed today my status updated to in production! Hopefully they’re still on track for the estimated Dec 15th delivery. I’m assuming the delay will be on how quickly I can get financing since they require payment in full before loading it on a truck for Texas purchasers. Hope yours is also in production, or at least really soon!

My status updated to in production as well. After some emailing back and forth, they confirmed it will be at my delivery center in Brooklyn on 12/29, so definitely cutting it close.

I did see that they updated the Model X and S purchase screen to say that if you order by Nov 30th you will get by end of year. Previously, they only had that information on the Model 3 purchase page.

Not sure if it helps your case, but the options are still available off-menu (order through the OA): Tesla brings back all recently removed options as ‘off-the-menu items’

Just submitted my order for a MX 75D, Pearl White, 20", White interior, AP! Excited to part of the club and have already had tremendous help from just reading the forums so far :) Added my info in the doc! Submitted deposit on November 26th, received confirmation and VIN today.

I put down a deposit for Model X in September. Completed all paperwork within 24 hours.
Original delivery date quoted was Oct 17th. They delivery was delayed until mid November.
I've had 2 delivery appointments at the pick-up center cancelled within 72 hours within the past two weeks.
As of December 2, I have no vehicle.
I'm told the car is finished but they are having difficulties with transport from the factory to LA.
For those of you being told your delivery is mid to late December, I would be very surprised if you get your vehicle in 2018.
I'm still very unconvinced I will get mine in 2018.

Wow, struggling delivering the car from Freemont to LA? Well thats makes me doubt my DA's email about a 12/22 delivery date. She said car was scheduled to arrive in Portland on 12/19. One of the reasons we pulled the trigger on the X was the full tax credit incentive still available, but hopefully they will make it on time or make it right on their "promise" of delivery before 12/31 if ordered before November 30th...

In past years, they have had people pay for them in the Q4 period and say that financial "delivery" qualifies for the tax year paid (which isn't correct). Watch for issue concerning date first put into service and claims that payment qualifies. The IRS is explicit about put-into-service.

Exactly, and I'm pretty sure the DMV registration has to reflect this as well, so they better be filing their paperwork on time if we actually get the vehicle before end of year.

Anyone that ordered in November (ordered mine on 11/18) got their delivery date or details of their DS updated on their Tesla Account yet? I got dates of 12/17 and 12/18 for a pickup in Fremont delivery hub, from different phone conversations with my OA and the Cust Service last week. But no change on my Tesla Account to show the delivery date or DS details.

Hi there, I ordered on November 26th, VIN on 29th and got a email from delivery specialist with delivery date 12/22 on the same day. My Tesla page shows "Your Tesla order has been confirmed and scheduled for production in our factory" still.

If you have the VIN and they send you the NVIS couldn't you go into DMV and register the vehicle on Dec 31 even if it's not in your driveway?
I guess the only downside is that if you'd have to refuse the vehicle, so maybe tell the DA that's what you want to do and get in writing that a 100% buyback will be guaranteed for 7 days after delivery.

We are building the same car (but i did buy black 20" wheels from TSportline). Got my VIN but no email from DS yet. Mine shows "Your Tesla order has been confirmed and scheduled for production in our factory" as well. Hmm......
