We are building the same car (but i did buy black 20" wheels from TSportline). Got my VIN but no email from DS yet. Mine shows "Your Tesla order has been confirmed and scheduled for production in our factory" as well. Hmm......

Awesome! Congrats :) From the spreadsheet it appears that some November orders are going from VIN to production in as little as 7 days, so hoping we'll see some changes on the Tesla page in the coming days.

No changes on my Tesla account page yet, but I emailed my DS today and she replied almost right away saying everything was on track and they expected the car to be delivered to the SC this weekend actually, a bit ahead of the original date (12/19). Just hoping its validated info and not just some guess from the delivery specialist.

Hi there, I ordered on November 26th, VIN on 29th and got a email from delivery specialist with delivery date 12/22 on the same day. My Tesla page shows "Your Tesla order has been confirmed and scheduled for production in our factory" still.
The tracking spreadsheet seems to imply that cars are going from start to end of production in about 6-7 days - if the dates entered there are the real dates from the prod line, and not guesstimates by the buyers. That'd imply that our cars might still be in pre-production scheduling, ready to enter production in the next few days. The order status might update to show "in production" at that time.

I think all CA buyers will see an attempt for end-of-year delivery. vcho shows other states being focused on now but you have to bet CA deliveries will be in focus soon.

Anyone get their delivery location changed? My delivery is scheduled for 12/21 in Rockville, MD, but I'm now seeing it changed to Burbank, CA, which is a totally different state.
No changes on my end, Delivery Specialist called today to confirm a pickup for Thursday at the same location that has been listed on my account. To be honest, I've seen some weird quirks on the Tesla page through the process and I would definitely rely more on what my Delivery Specialist says than what I see on the page.

I've ordered mine on the 23rd of March with an expected delivery date of 'May'. This expected date, May, was shown until early this week for new orders, but my DS called today to inform me of an adjusted 'mid to end of June' delivery date but couldn't tell me why it's been pushed back. The car isn't in production after 3 weeks either.
After some indications by the DS of a mid-end of April delivery with things moving so quickly at the factory I'm a bit puzzled by the delay, also seeing as some cars confirmed after mine have already finished production.

Being a first time Tesla buyer I'm wondering if this cause for concern or what the reason might be. Especially with all the rumours buzzing of a refreshed engine/interior. I've read a lot on the forums but didn't see too many of these sorts of delays!

@Kozzy, here is what I think happened:

Normally when you order a Model S/X in Europe, your car is built to order and then it takes 45 days to deliver. Production for Europe and Asia happens in the first 6 weeks of each quarter. Therefore normally when you ordered on 23rd March, your car was supposed to enter production in California between 1 April - 15 May and then it would be delivered between 15 May - 30 June. However, I think this time they thought there might be some unmatched cars after Q1 or there could be customer returns. Therefore there was a chance you could get one of those cars. Now it became clear that there is no customer return or unmatched car. Therefore it will be built to order which was 95% likely to happen anyway. In Europe, regardless of when you place your order, your delivery will most likely happen in the last month of the quarter.

The good news is that you will most likely get a car with Autopilot Hardware 3.0. If they were able to deliver a car to you this month, that car wouldn't have HW3.0. Generally speaking, any Tesla delivered in Europe before 10 May will have AP2.5 and after that HW3.0. I recommend watching Tesla's Autopilot event on 22 April.

Thanks so much for that info - it makes a lot of sense. I am of course glad to wait if it means a potentially 'better' car.

I didn't order FSD (as it's not that useful in my country yet), however Elon Musk's tweet:
Please note that the price of the Tesla Full Self-Driving option will increase substantially over time
makes it interesting again. Never this many ins and outs and uncertainties when buying a car, despite it having the fewest options of all brands...
