I was hoping to take delivery today but Tesla called an hour before appt and told me that that FWD has a cracked glass and they would need to replace it. Not surprised at all after reading all the topics here but still have a bitter feeling, especially since I was waiting for more than two months now. Waiting till Monday to get some news :(

Also my account now shows new appt - Dec 5th, I wonder is it accurate at all or they just moved to some date next week if the car gets repaired.

Really sorry you didn’t take delivery; hope they get the glass replaced soon and you can get it this week. I’m following your experience closely as I’m in Sammamish as well and picking up from Bellevue. I ordered 10/6; still no VIN; really hoping to hear something this week.

I've been told that new revision of model X have different glass in FWD, that is why it's not in stock and they need to do special order from the factory :(

10/31 in San Diego and nothing here yet, although my friend who lives next to me and ordered the same day had a VIN pop up in his source code. None in my source code though.
My sales lady hit me up with my VIN last week then VIN showed in my source code (Tesla VIN finder on chrome) but still no VIN showing on my order page, nor have I had a delivery date set yet. :( Soooooon just gotta keep telling yourself sooooon....

Ordered Model X long range in San Diego, CA in October 12, 2019. Received text message from Tesla on November 24th to schedule pick up in Fremont on November 25th. I rescheduled and picked it up November 26th. I have been driving it in rush hour traffic to work on autopilot and it is such an easier drive. I don't like all the cars cutting in front of me in stop and go slow speed traffic because of the excessive gap in front of me. I get a little nervous that I will get rear ended when it slams on the brakes to maintain that gap. Changing lanes in traffic is a bit nerve wracking. Takes some planning.

Ordered long range
Red
5 - seat
20" wheels
Black and white interior
Full self driving

Today, I ordered a Model X with the following specs:

Long Range
White
5 - seat
20" wheels
Cream interior
Full self driving

I just received an email from Jarrett Marks (Delivery Support Specialist, Inside Delivery) stating "As of right now, we don’t have a vehicle assigned to your account;"

From reviewing this board, looks like 2020 will be the delivery date.

Going to pick up the car tomorrow. Replacement glass is in the back-order and so Tesla offered me to pick up the car and when glass is in stock, they will schedule mobile replacement at my location. Not sure if that is the right thing to do, but they told me that the crack is in the roof of FWD and it's not severe so car can be safely operated.

Just found our VIN in the source! Seattle area Blue/White 7 Seater LR ordered 11/7.

...and just got a call from my SA telling me my car is "factory gated" and to look out for a call to schedule a delivery appointment soon!

Now to look up what "factory gated" means...

Yesterday, Tesla informed me that a VIN has been assigned to my Model X. It should be on a transport headed West in the next few days. Houston delivery date is set for Dec 19, 2019!

Dont want to jinx anything so I will save my celebration dance until next next week.

Ordered 10/6 - LR, Red/cream, 7 seat - Seattle area

As of this Wednesday, no VIN, no-one at Tesla had any idea when I would take delivery, were surprised it was taking so long (9.5 weeks), but couldn't do anything about it. I am heading out on vacation on 19th, so had pretty much given up getting my X this year and was missing the tax credit.

Anyway, after my calls on Wednesday, I got contacted by the local Tesla sales manager in afternoon to let me know a new demo X with exact specs had been released for sale in the area - 2019, 500 miles, "old" seats. Went to have a look at it Wednesday afternoon, took ownership yesterday evening! Got a small discount as was a demo vehicle

So, I did get a 2019 and not 2020, older seats, and 500 miles of use. On the plus side, I did get a small discount, I could check panel fit-and-finish beforehand (pretty good for MX), and assume no problems as had been used for a few test drives.

Picked up at Bellevue store; was crazy busy; said they were delivering up to 60 cars a day!
