They just moved up delivery off my 5 seat LR from July to April/May

Ordered in December 2020. 5-door. Just took delivery today.

In-app times have jumped all over the place; beginning of the year it shifted by a month every month starting in January, until March when it jumped to July. Then suddenly I had a VIN assigned and it jumped to week of Mar 14-18! Then it kept jumping forward by a week; at one point I lost the VIN, until a new VIN was assigned 2 days later. Then estimate went to week of March 28-Apr 1. But I couldn't schedule anything or complete remaining steps. On March 30th got a text saying "ready to schedule delivery appointment!"... with the only option being March 31. Because end of quarter. I was out of town for those two days. Someone called me and explicitly said "ok, we have to release this car to someone else because it's our end of quarter and we have to sell this car." Told me I can expect a new one in April.

On Apr 4 app updated to say "Est. July". Then on Apr.. 13 I think, I got a notice to schedule a delivery appointment, and here we are today.

As with most Tesla products, the thing itself is fantastic, but the process to get it is incredibly painful. Also, their "Est. XXX" dates seem to mean absolutely nothing.

Edit: I should add, build quality seems.. "fine"? One inverted bit of weather stripping that'll be easy to push back into place (I hope), and a taillight that has a bunch of condensation in it (where none of the others do). Also some wind whistling noise from the drivers' side, but nothing that I can see the cause of. I've opened a service appointment for that condensation, and may do the same for the wind noise as both seem like common issues.

what is "confirmation date" column in the excel spreadsheet? i just saw that the payment method is now "enabled" in my account but that's probably because i'm within 60 days of my EDD. i noticed that many have put the same day they ordered their car as the confirmation date. i have no vin only EDD of july 2022

what or who is this”advisor” people talk about. Don’t have one, never mentioned, don’t know how to get, zero communication, hanging out here in the wind.
Most of the time SA means Sales Advisor. They don't do or know much. You can use them for sales related questions, but really the process is so simple most folks never meet them. Back when Tesla still had mall stores, they were mostly staffed by SAs.

If you order something, and get closer to delivery, you will be handed over to the Delivery Team and you will be contacted by a DS, or Delivery Specialist. They are somewhat more useful, actually handle paperwork and set appointments.

The idea is most folks order from the website themselves and have no contact until delivery gets close.

Hanging in the wind is pretty normal. I am trading my current X, so at least I get a request to update the mileage and the tree is re-quoted. That is really the only sign of life. Tick Tok and repeat.
