Wiki Model X Order/Delivery Tracking - Google Sheet

Most of the time SA means Sales Advisor. They don't do or know much. You can use them for sales related questions, but really the process is so simple most folks never meet them. Back when Tesla still had mall stores, they were mostly staffed by SAs.

If you order something, and get closer to delivery, you will be handed over to the Delivery Team and you will be contacted by a DS, or Delivery Specialist. They are somewhat more useful, actually handle paperwork and set appointments.

The idea is most folks order from the website themselves and have no contact until delivery gets close.

Hanging in the wind is pretty normal. I am trading my current X, so at least I get a request to update the mileage and the tree is re-quoted. That is really the only sign of life. Tick Tok and repeat.
Thank you. Good info because it seems many out on the coasts keep talking to their SA. Now,as long as someone contacts me about my delivery with more than 24 hr lead time (400 miles away will take time to get there) I’ll try to be patient.

Can confirm that SAs are difficult to reach, even on the coasts. But at this phase I've been working with my DS (Delivery Specialist) and he's been pretty good. That said, he can't work miracles (still has no idea where my car is, but is trying to find out).

Yippee! I finally got a VIN on my new X... delivery June 1...only took a year!!
I now want to sell my 2018 X. Any suggestions for the best place to list my car?
Sorry if I'm not posting this in the right place.
The place here on this board is Tesla for Sale

Have you considered trading it in? Tesla's trade-in values lately, have really been quite good. Ex. 79,500 for my 2018 w 50,000 miles.

Congrats! When did you place your order? I placed mine way back in 6/21, was told it might not be ready until 12/21, didn't get any news until 3/22, was told may be ready by 7/22, logged in a few days ago and saw it jump to 12/22 - 4/23! Logged in just now and it's back down to 7/22 - 9/22! Very strange!

I would check with Tesla
They offered me $80k for my 2019 Model X LR ($10K more than they offered last year)

Just yesterday (25 May 2022), I found that my just revised EDD was "July 21 - September 15, 2022." Reasonably specific.

My original order date was 6 May 2021.

I checked back this morning, and I am outraged to find that now my EDD is "December 2022 - April 2023."

I finally took delivery on my new X LR. Really got the bum's rush to sign and get the hell out! I couldn't even get someone to show me the new controls. I was just told "we're pushing tutorials to your car now". What a disappointing experience!

NOTE: This is my 3rd X, so I'm well familiar with Tesla's "high-tech" style. I just think they've gone overboard...imho.

I placed an order May 24 (this year) for Plaid. Design Studio estimate was October. Order estimate in the app was September - October until this week. Yesterday, estimate was updated to June 20 - July 11. I have mixed feelings; on one hand, wow, that is fast. On the other, I really want the matrix headlights.

I did almost the exact same thing and had the same experience. Except my dates were 6/17-7/8. Then a week ago they changed to 8/12-9/22. So back in that august timeframe.

Where are you located?

I am in the SoCal Area and mine just changed from Sept 26 - November 2 to June 27 - July 16. They also called me and texted me that they really wanted to buy my S 100D FSD so for fun I gave them all the info they wanted and their offer came back 5-8k higher than any of the online offer from the likes of CarMax and others. I agreed to trade it in since it makes sense to me. I can drive it to the last day and just make the swap when I pick up my new one.

I still don’t have a VIN though so it might change again but the offer they made said it would be good until July 22. We shall see.

As a side note, the SA called me left a Voicemail to call him back about the delivery of my new MX. I called him back within 3 minutes and no answer, went to voicemail but voicemail said mailbox was full. I have called at least a dozen more times, no answer, mailbox is still full. Must be grand to have a product selling so well that customer service can be completely non-existent……. Love their cars, but still disappointed their “system” is as lacking as the last time I bought from them…. It is what it is and I am still super excited about delivery.

You can text them back on the number they used to text notify you of a potential delivery. They will respond there and it will bounce between whoever is available.

All within the month of May 2022, my account reflected EDDs of:
July 21 - September 15, 2022
December 2022 - April 2023
July 31 - September 11, 2022

July 31 - September 11, 2022 remained stable throughout the month of June
Second week of July, changed to August 11 - September 15, 2022
So EDD pushed back 11 days but time frame window shrunk by 7 days, but NO VIN.

Original order date May 6, 2021 (430 days, and counting)
MX LR - Midnight Silver - Cream Interior - 20" - FSD

Anyone else get a message saying that if anything had changed that you need to indicate that you want to cancel your order?
Thought it extremely odd. The implication in the wording was : you probably have Long grown weary of our inattention to you, so you most likely never want to see us again.
I ordered early February of 2021 and like most here have seen Delivery dates all over the map. Latest is Oct-December of 2022. Seemed like the wrong tenor to take in communicating with customers.
