Model X ordered

I had a Model 3 on order but decided the X meet more of my family needs after a test ride.

Ordered last week (Sept 14th) and waiting on delivery confirm. Might be late November. However, I did speak to the folks at SF Tesla (where I test rode the car) and was told if I'm flexible with options/packages/color the delivery date can be sooner. We decided to wait for our exact package: 75p, blue on white, carbon fiber int, carbon color wheels. Hopefully, I'll get here before Dec.

Side note: Everyone at Tesla SF was really nice and welcoming. I really hope the rest of the industry follow suit. Going to a traditional car dealership will never be the same for me.

Wahoo!!! Got my vin number. No delivery date yet. Typically how much longer till my next update?

Also, I've applied for a loan through Tesla and got approved but it's not showing in my account when logged in. Anyone experienced this before?

Congratulations! Probably you already know this but click over to the order tracking grid and put your info in too. I just got my MVPA today and paid for my MX so, needless to say, I'm DYING OF ANTICIPATION!
If your order goes like mine did (which seems fairly common), this will happen: 3 days from now your order will be confirmed (they wait 3 days in case you want to make changes or get cold feet). Then you'll hear absolutely nothing for weeks which will be very annoying. Eventually, you'll give up on emailing them and just call and hopefully get a very nice delivery advisor (who will likely not have any answers about timing though). You'll refresh your account page over and over and, after a few weeks, it will say that your car is in production. Then a few days later, it'll say it's complete and it's "in transit." Your advisor might guess a delivery date around this point. Apparently, once you get your final paperwork (the MVPA), that means you're within 20 days of delivery and you should be able to make your payment or otherwise settle up with them. (I AM HERE) Once you pay, they can arrange the logistics of shipping it to you and they should give you a firm delivery date. MY DA told me yesterday it looks like 9/28 pickup for me but now that I've paid, maybe they can move it up.

Check out the order grid to get a sense of timing from other orders around yours and average delivery ranges. The only tip I've really picked up is that they seem to produce and deliver most of the domestic US cars toward the end of their financial quarters to boost their delivery numbers. They can deliver domestically on a much shorter time frame so they produce most exported vehicles earlier, then generate a huge surge of domestic orders right at the end of the quarter.

Anyway, congrats! The wait is excruciating, hang in there. :)

Wow!!! Thank you for the great info.

Check my email today an noticed a email from Tesla. I got all excited but it turned out the email was for the cancellation of my Model 3. Duh!

Correct about the statement above - "The wait IS excruciating"

Did you order the model 3 before July 1st? If so you might be able to ask them to transfer the free premium connectivity over to your model X order.

That's great. Good to hear you got in the free supercharger. It may not sound like much to some but for me it meant a LOT. Saturday should be out delivery, then off to the shop for some PPF. Best of luck. Hang out here (TMC). There is a lot going on and fun stuff to learn.

My order confirmed 10/Sept and VIN issued 15/Sept. Have a delivery specialist contact on Tesla site. Out of curiosity I called 888 Tesla number and the CS rep there said “don’t quote me” but it looks like Nov23 delivery. Later than I expected and want but in line with “NOV” when I ordered. I was calling to get a gauge hopefully so I knew when to apply for financing. Sounds to me like I shouldn’t even think about that until Nov.

Ordered 100D/east coast US delivery. Specs entered in to sheet.

Nope. I did not get in time for the Free Premium connectivity only the super charger promo.

Was also told around the end of Nov too. Waiting game..

Update:

Got a email confirming that delivery should take place Oct 6th. Hopefully nothing changes. Will post in this thread for more updates.

As I was typing this, I just got a message from another advisor saying that I can pick up my car on 9/28. Wow. Let's hope this all works out.

None! All works, Vin was correct, correct color. Had all the attachments (charging towing front screen) I even had them pull it around the the superchargers to give us a bit of power but mainly to ensure it supercharged, which it did. Karen did most of the check list. I was proud of her.

imagine that, a normal tesla delivery experience. and some people here would have you believe tesla makes crap cars! :) enjoy the new ride!
