It does not seem to be pack related. Both G and H cars report that range update (see the thread here under battery and charging).

If it's not pack related then where is this extra range coming from? Did they change something in the power train? I'm suspicious that this is just a paper range update and not real. I guess we'll have to wait for someone to test it out.

My G reports same old 97,8kWh usable and the first a bit longer drive had 430km/270mi range going 104km/h/65mph. It was bit above freezing out.

Some 2020.
There are G packs on this very forum that report the same update. But i guess we will see when the update rolls out.

Hmm I haven't seen any G packs except for may be one indirect report. All are H battery packs getting thr update. Even if G pack is then knowing my luck it'll be G packs from September 2020 and not June 2020 like mine lol

I provided some charging detail on this thread
2021 Model X, Monroney Sticker Range Increase
@ohmman or other moderators; perhaps we should combine the two threads.

tl;dr the H pack has 101 kWh charging capacity, which should be an increase from prior batters (E F G). I will measure discharge capacity as soon as I can. I think that -H received a chemistry change that increased usable capacity, with total capacity including reserves of 104-106 kWh. Discharge capacity is less than charging capacity, which is less than physical capacity.
