Model X Rear Entertainment Solution

We will Soon be Installing these in the next few weeks for X owners wanting to provide entertainment for rear passengers. Both iPad Minis and 9.7" iPads can be implemented. The Docks magnetically hold and charge the iPads inductively via a special case. Since the docks are circular, the iPads can be mounted both vertically and horizontally. Once at home, the iPads can be removed and docked on either table top or wall mounted docks as well. We are located in South Florida and will be booking installations shortly.

How is power routed to the docks? Are they removing the seat-backs, drilling holes through them and running power through it?

The docks do get permanently installed and are powered by the car's 12v system. If the owner wants to remove the system later, Tesla charges $130 for replacement back panels.

I may have found a cheaper alternative! This can keep kids entertained for hours on end. No special wiring necessary and batteries are guaranteed to outlast kid's attention span ;-)
